Okay, so Ghost Rider is not long for Modern Age. I'd like to give him one last hurrah, so I'm working on a 300pt competitive team featuring ol' hot head:

Blue Devil is not just thematically neat with Ghost Rider, he helps him deal with Gluttony and/or Doop (and any other mystic or stop clicker) via his traits. Devil isn't awfully worried about losing the cowl to Lydea, and he retains the TA outwit and willpower if she steals his junk. Neither are overly reliant on free actions, so the green battery doesn't nerf them. Ghost Rider helps Devil deal with terrain by taxi'ing him in, and allowing for the belt's initial +1 to all to be useful. Both have decent values and reducers, both deal plenty of penetrating damage... But my biggest worry is that they're statistically "too fair" and will fall behind in actions as a points heavy two-piece. Also, no top-dial PC. Whaddya think?

Blue devil is actually useless against Doop and Gluttony as he punishes characters with stop clicks and gluttony and Doop don't have stop clicks. The wording on them is that all but one damage is IGNORED. Other than that u don't have any perplex or prob and ghost riders defence is pretty soft.

Ah, you are correct. That sucks, his trait is nowhere near as useful as I thought.

His trait is still really useful, just not against those figures. He still helps against AoU Hulk, The End Hulk, Kyle Rayner, Any White Lantern, King Thor, Korvac, I, Vampire, and many more I don't feel like listing.
