quick question, can characters like Doop and Gluttnoy use other damage reducing powers, such as toughness, invulnerability, ...., given from entitys or special objects.
Yes in the case of Gluttony, however, you can only use one power that can ignore or reduce damage at a time.
I'm less certain about opting to use something else over Doopland.

Yes they could be assigned additional defense powers, but if a character could use multiple game effects that would reduce or ignore damage, only one of its game effect can activate, which is decided by the character‘s player.
You cannot combine their special defense powers with a damage reducing power as their powers ignore damage.
so lets say Doop has a a hammer on him that gives him toughness, would he have to choose which he is using for the turn(his trait or toughness)? or can he switch back and fourth per action?
so i can take toughness to stop poison and then his trait ability when taking damage from a following attack all in the same turn?
Doopland only triggers on attacks (this why the OP is supposed to quote the power).
