Completely ridiculous. Should be errata'd to not have Quintessence at 25 points. This figure is essentially a joke. 10 range Outwit (through anything that isn't indoor blocking or another colossal) that cannot be countered back, 12 atk super-incap on retaliation (as a free action) on all targets within 4 (and he can target the original target character 3 out, so characters 7 away essentially). His only "drawback" is a 2 Speed, but he shuffles out on turn 1 and he's Outwitting basically across half the board and by turn 2 or 3 of your opponents turn he'll probably be halfway across the map from a Retaliation. This makes him an ineffective taxi, but I'm hardpressed to care. Yeah, one does him in but if you want to swing on my 25 pointers 19 Defense? Go ahead. Better not miss, either. Unlike all of the other Colossal Retaliation abilities, Solaris' does not affect your own team. This 25 point line feels unbalanced.

Rookie Black Panther. Gravity feed Batgirl (Oracle). Jewel (Jessica Jones). And now... *a freaking star.*
It's been a while since I read DC One Million or All-Star Superman– how big was Solaris in the comics? The other Colossals are the size of buildings, whereas this guy is a *sun.* Here's hope for Ego the Living Planet in a forthcoming Marvel set...
Went back and re-read JLA One Million (the less-comprehensive TPB collection of Solaris' originating story) and, fair enough, Colossal is the right size for him. He's big- varying by artists between King Kong big and Godzilla big- but he's not the size of an actual star. It's fair enough to make him a figure, rather than a map (cf Krakoa, Mogo, etc). Plus his Ruler keyword lets him run theme with Vandal Savage.
Among Colossal Retaliators Solaris is arguably the best at what it does, giving action tokens and dealing damage through pushing. Competition includes Groot who assigns action tokens and heals friendly characters. But his stats are far less impressive. 19 printed defense is huge and 12 attack is also amazing. To top it off Solaris has Outwit. Drop in from across the map, shutdown your opponent with action tokens, then ruin them even more with Outwit.
I had a game recently with Solaris rolling for Colossal Retaliation early-mid game. He dropped a wave of pushing damage over my opponent and the bystander token horde they had amassed was destroyed. Solaris went off again a few turns later, my opponents attackers worn down so low they couldn't get over 19 defense. Devastated. All given action tokens for the second time basically saying "You lose your turn", again, and pushing damage. It's usually better than Pulse Wave unless a figure has indomitable
