Rick Jones Vs. Copycat: Say my opponent takes Rick Jones with Copycat.
A) Does he get to bring in the Bystanders? If they are not on his sideboard he doesn't get to take my Bystanders does he? Say he actually has them on his sideboard then I can see him using them.
B) If/When I regain control of Rick Jones does the Bystander he have on the board stay on his team? Come to my team? Do I get to drop one of my own?

Rick Jones vs. Z-virus: Cap Bystander is KOed by character possessing Zombie Infection.
C) Does the Bystander become a Zombie?
D) If so does this mean either I can not bring in the Namor Bystander as Cap is still on map or I can bring in Namor as Cap was KOed?
E) If i can bring in Namor and he gets KOed then Blazing Skull gets KOed since I no longer have a Captain America to fill in the next slot in the chain does this break the chain?
F) Say Rick Jones is infected and brought over to Zombie Side, if the Bystander is also brought to Zombie side can he continue the bystander chain?

Oh I forgot my other questions.

Rick Jones vs Hot Pockets: Which Hot Pocket is he most likely to eat? Which is he least likely to eat?

Rick Jones vs Shoes: Slippers, Sandals with socks, Sandals without socks, High tops, High Heels, Tennis shoes, or Hiking Boots?

Quoting the power would have answered a few of your questions:

SUMMON THE HEROES I GREW UP READING about: At the beginning of the game, place a Captain America bystander token (as included with this card) adjacent to Rick Jones. When a bystander token placed by Rick Jones is KO'd, place a bystander token included with this card adjacent to Rick Jones as per the following. This ability can't be ignored.

INFILTRATE MY ENEMIES: Before placing characters in your starting area, you may choose an opposing character that is 100 points or less not named Copycat. Copycat becomes friendly to that character's force and that character becomes friendly to your force. Any game effects assigned to each of them is now assigned to the other. When Copycat fails a roll for Shape Change, uses Regeneration, or is knocked out, after actions resolve, this effect ends and any game effects assigned to each of them is now assigned to the other.

So (A) Copycat would be able to swap with Rick, then spawn the Bystander.
(B) It lists that the Bystander is a separate entity (no statement that it's KO'd if he is) so it would stay on your team even if Rick went back to his original team... you wouldn't be able to swap it out after that if it's KO'd as Rick is no longer friendly.

(C) If the Cap is KO'd by a Zombie, it would come back as a Zombie per the Z-Virus.
(D) Since Cap was KO'd, Rick's trait would kick in and the next one would be spawned.
(E) I believe WES ruled on this a while back but I can't find the thread... I don't recall the answer. Anyone else know?
(F) I would imagine not because the Zombie tokens are technically not those placed by Rick... those tokens were KO'd to become Zombies. Based on rulings about some of the Ultrons, I think that's how it would go.

In the case of E and F, you can ask on WES for a more official answer.

Just because you take Rick Jones does not mean you can take the Bystanders with him is my understanding. But lets say i happened to "Infiltrate" and take Rick Jones and I have the Bystanders on my sideboard for whatever reason I can then use them. So, if Rick Jones gets back to his original owner he would not get his bystander since it is not the beginning of the game and I can still use the Bystander until it gets KOed.

Bystanders don't come back as zombies, they have no clicks.

You keep saying "sideboard". These bystander tokens are not coming from the sideline (proper term). Sideline is, generally, reserved for replacement characters.


There is absolutely nothing in Coypcat's ability that would prevent the placement of these bystanders.

There's also no rule stating you'd have to supply your opponents with your copies of them, either. Make him find his own tokens, cuz he's a jerk for stealing your chase.

But as I said, there is nothing in Copycat's ability (which is what was being argued earlier) that prevents such thing.
