Future Imperfect is pretty good there's some weird stuff in that comic that doesn't quite make sense if your a Marvel fan you'll see what they are in the spread.
The End, meh! I wasnt that crazy about that one myself.

Here are a few I read quite often, when I am bored.
X-Men: "God Loves Man Kills"
Avengers "Emperor Doom"
Avengers Legends, "The Korvac Saga"
"Avengers/Defenders War"
X-Men "Days of Future Past" and "Days of Future Present"
As well as any recent G.I. Joe graphic novels, they are pretty fun to pass the time.
Also, take care of yourself and thank you for what you are doing.

Everywhere you look, there's a freaking Monkey doing his business!
Alex Ross's Marvels is fantastic. His artwork is stunning in that it gives you a real idea of what the heroes would look like if they existed in the real world. It is essentially the story of the rise of superheroes in the Marvel Universe told from the perspective of a news reporter. It covers many decades, and hits on some of the classic moments. Speaking of Alex Ross, if you haven't read Kingdom Come, pick it up, too. I'm not a big DC fan either, but that is one amazing story.
Another great Avengers graphic novel is The Last Avengers Story. The artwork is great and the story is really cool.
The first Spider-man Tangled Web collection is a whole different take on Spider-man and his world. Very enjoyable reading.
Originally posted by Redleg Has anybody read Marvels? The book with the Alex Ross artwork? I've been thinking about picking that up.
I own it and its one of the most interesting comics I have. Its basically told from the point of view of a newspaper journalist who witnesses the coming of the super powered humans and mutants. An excellent read and great artwork,I highly recommend picking up this title.I think they released a graphic novel of all the books in one.

Walter Simonson's Fantastic Four #350. I'm a huge FF fan I honestly feel that those issues that Simonson did are the best stories and the art is great too (Art Adams?). If you like the FF and Dr. Doom check it out.
I also like waid and ennis. I'd suggest along with others infinity gauntlet and preacher tpb. I also think you like some crossgen tpbs, try some titles like way of the rat, sigil (which waid wrote for a while) and the negation. You don't have to read all of crossgen to get the whole story. Ps I only suggest these, because when you done, you'll actually want to go back and reread'em. Is'nt that what you really want more bang for the buck. ps. crossgen = quality.
Yes, Infinity Gauntlet is always a safe bet...same with Secret Wars I. If you wanna give DC a shot Arkham Asylum is possibly the greatest graphic novel ever.
