Much in the same vein of the WKO thread, I thought we could do the same for ROC states on June 4
I'll start with an idea I've had
Balls of Fury 120
Red Son Superman 100
Proteus 35
General Lane 40
Leaving room for an ID card of my choice.
Has a lot of damage output and Superman gets 2 stop l clicks and plus 1 to all stats.
Not the most mobile team ever and there's no real way to protect Nick.
Looking forward to seeing team ideas. Hopefully this helps
are stuck on the idea of using Nick Fury? I have some ideas I can throw out, but up to you ultimately. Also, I believe resources should be available too.
I'm not stuck on fury, but it fit the soldier theme to help with map roll.
I think with the new rotation resources aren't required to win anymore. That said I'm not opposed to using them
I've been toying around with some vanisher teams that abuse free action attacks, but they are pretty glassy
Harlequin 90
Dock oc 80
Klarion 70
Vanisher 40
Leaves room for hulkbuster chest and ID cards
I could also substitute shredder with his awesome out with and leadership.
150 pt chase magneto does the same thing. I could call in ID characters and still attack twice for free with him

Well, for building for States you have to ask yourself a question.
Can my team beat a Zombie Team Base? And by extension a Super Skrull team? If the answer is no, you gotta start over.
People will be trying to abuse the fact there is no resource to shut it down, and come out in full force. Then there is this.
Do I have a way to deal with Mystique? If the answer is no, you gotta start over. Until a proper ruling is in stone you have to assume that x2 Mystique and a Deadman or a build similar to that will be on the horizon.
While I like the team idea you have going, if you saw either of those things you'd be screwed. My advice is build something that has some pulse wave in it. Coincidentally pulse wave takes care of both of those things I mentioned fairly well.
Alright, had to think about this one, Nick Fury is my build around and while I could go the lazy way of double Nick Fury, all good in the hood.
120 NFAOS056 Nick Fury
30 AOU053BD Ultron-7 (Drone)
40 UXM018 Vanisher
80 WKM16-001 Doctor Octopus
15 FFNFAOS099 H.E.N.R.Y.
5 AOUAUID-104 Thor
5 WFWFID-007 Black Canary
5 WFWFID-002 Batman
300
Sideboard
AOU Thor 100
Black Canary LE 77
TW Batman 85
First thing I had to think of was getting around Koriandar and Red Hood and the outlaws. The is easy as you just play an Ultron 7 (He is considered 125 points) he will make her ability not work well. From there it is about mobility and a secondary attacker. Honestly, one of the best out there IS Doctor Octopus who will flurry his way into your heart. Vanisher gets everyone where they need to be.
ID Cards, Thor allows you to drop a Jane Foster Token, Black Canary and Batman help get around Lex Luthor AND Mystique. Zombie Super Skrull and Apollo may be a challenge, but no Orange battery makes it more doable.
So my go-to 300-point team is
300 M15-010 Dormammu
And I have had little opportunity to discuss the viability with people with more competitive experience. I like being able to reduce penetrating damage, getting around stealth, and popping out psyblast pogs regularly.

Honestly, if I were playing Dormammu at 250, I'd be more inclined to possess him with Eclipso and pair him with HENRY, but I'd still feel like that extra 2 clicks with his special ranged attack was something on which I were missing out.
As far as Soldiers go, what about Element Man? Dude is a high enough pt value to call in some decent ID Characters, can get the holy triumverate of Save Rolls, has the Outsiders TA, and even late dial he's swinging hard. Just slap a Wrath relic on him and get him in close to shut down the Nicks.

How scary is the Zombie Team Base with only GotG to fill it? Honestly curious, I'm not gonna get to play test beforehand.

You can pop off Super Skrull and 2 Skrull generics that all have perplex on that click. You can pop them all off at the same time with Mole Man on the first turn and start smashing stuff on the second. It's pretty ugly.

Jeez...yeah, ok, that's a little scarier than I thought it'd be. Good to know, thanks!

In case my previous post didn't clarify, I'm a huuuuuge tentpole player. How usable is AAoU Hulkbuster or Hulkbuster Mk II at 300 competitively?
I'm not sure. I have to look at the dials. But I wouldn't suggest it. One of the more played teams is x2 Koriand'r with Red Hood and the Outlaws. And you'll get torn to shreds cause you can't shoot them. Secondly you'd lose to any team with 1 Iceman on it.
