I learn this game with so many people taught me how to play it. And I kinda confused about when I forgot taking the action token when I'm rest/clear.
Some people said, when I ended my turn and I forgot to take the action token, I still can take out the token even tho' the other player has already begin their turn (which I mean doing action whether its free or not) because resting is a must when your characters doing nothing im your turn.
But, some other said, if you forgot to take the token it will remains like that because rest/clearing token is just like anyother power. It's right there and you gotta declare it to do it. If you forgot... then... you forgot.
Just to be clear. Which one is the right one?
Thanks guys.
Clearing tokens is NOT optional and it's certainly not a power or ability. So clear them away. If you forget you should still clear them and feel free to remind your opponent that's its both player's responsibility to maintain a legal game state.
CLEARING ACTION TOKENS
At the end of your turn, after you have finished taking and resolving all of your actions (including free actions that occur “at the end of your turn”) and declared your turn to be over, remove all action tokens from each of the characters on your force that did not receive an action token this turn. This is called “clearing” your action tokens.
Removing them is not an option. You have to do it. Your opponent is equally responsible for making sure you remove tokens from your qualifying figures when you are clearing.
If you're already in the middle of the next turn, I'd say both players should agree to have them removed.
If one or both of you can't remember, like, "Did my character take an action? Should I have cleared that token?" then it might be best to leave it on there.

Clearing is not optional. If the character did not take a non-free action during the turn it will clear when the turn ends. You do not need to declare that you clear your character.

One thing you can do to keep it clear and a little less confusing is use different color action tokens. See, that was the color I used the turn before--this should have cleared.
Well, what if there is no tomorrow? There wasn't one today.
So when I'm applying red ones during a turn, at the end of that turn, I know that figures with green or with white/green - should be cleared that turn. Etc.
Using little d6 and rotating them to 1 and then to 2 and then remembering - no, I didn't assign a d6 to that figure this turn, so I can clear it - that's too hard. I'm lazy - let the tokens keep track of the rotation.
Oh - and when I'm playing a x00 point game, I have x of each of them, so I can assign up to that many, and that's it. I guess if I make a Leadership roll, I could need another 1, but I usually don't have under 100 point on average characters, so I don't usually need the extra one.

That's actually a great idea. Need a lot of poker chips tho'. But still... great idea. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the reply. I get it now. Kinda glad to know that, clearing action token is like responsibility for each players and reminding other player to clear is just nice thing to do

And now to come in with the dissenting perspective...
First of all, I understand that clearing is not optional, but that doesn't necessarily mean that if doing so has been forgotten that you just automatically get to do it.
Remember that Mystics is not optional, but if you realize that someone forgot to take it a while back, well, you chalk that up as a misplay and move on, but you can't just apply it at that time.
I see this as the same thing.
Those tokens let both players know who is and is not able to do what. It is entirely possible that I move somewhere because I know I'm safe based on seeing two action tokens on a character. Now it comes around to your turn and you suddenly say "Oh, this guy shouldn't actually have any tokens on him. I'm just going to remove those now. Hey. Look at that. I can now plaster that guy for 6 damage." Sorry, but I'm calling foul on that.
It's a misplay on the part of both players, though with far more responsibility on the part of the controlling player.
Friendly game, yeah, I'll let it slide and have had many opponents allow me to do the same when I've missed something.
Competitive game, probably not, like Mystics and other such things, there's really nothing that can be done to roll back the clock. You just have to keep going with the way things are.
(Obviously, none of this is a black and white answer. There are shades of grey all over the place here.)
I do the same as Bertie, except with red, white and blue. If I use Colossal Stamina (or Masters of Evil), I remove the oldest token and replace it with color I'm using that turn, that way it has the same tokens as any characters that pushed that turn.

I've been doing the same thing, though I only use two colors of poker chips. I can see the wisdom behind three, though.
I do differ on the number though: I bring one for each character on my force, since there are so many effects which can add tokens to figures.
Oh, and two tokens for peanut-base figures, so they don't tip awkwardly.

yep, cycle through so they still have two and it's the two colors most recently used.
give them the action, say out loud they already have two tokens, swap them out, click the dial.
