At the beginning of the game, choose a keyword for all friendly characters using this team ability. Characters using this team ability modify their attack value by +1 when making an attack targeting only opposing characters with the chosen keyword.

So does my characters have to have sentinel in the name or can I have a robot theme team and not have sentinel in the name?

I don't know what you've managed to do there , but the Robot ATA is:

When two friendly characters that can use this team ability are adjacent to each other, choose one of them to use Perplex until your next turn, but it may only target characters with the Robot keyword. A character may only use this team ability once per turn. Uncopyable.

What you've got there is "Re-Progamming" ATA which does need all characters to be named Sentinel or including Sentinel in the name.

Yep - there are two different ATAs.
