I pulled this guy and wanted to use him, at least once! 150 points of DPXF is done.

Hydra TA / enhancement / perplex

Outwit / free move and attack for D.E.A.D.P.O.O.L. / stealth

Outwit / buff stats with proper positioning / could heal push damage or Toymaster if he's not 1 shotted! / stealth

Buff stats with proper positioning / support / stealth TA

Free smoke cloud / perplex / team taxi / stealth / 2nd attacker

Is this an acceptable substitute for Krang, or is it apple to oranges, without the pick a power?

With proper positioning, 2 outwits, 13 attack, 5 damage (double perplexed) close attack, 4 point range attack, 1-6 B/C/F's, 2 point range attack, sidestep, 3 smoke cloud markers, Storm's free action smoke cloud providing additional hindering terrain for a stealth wall to better protect D.E.A.D.P.O.O.L.?

My biggest dilemma is, that it's a Golden Age build. All my team is modern, am I overlooking any Golden Age figures that would increase my chances of winning?

Well your going to get 3 attacks off but you be doing 1 damage but one of those attacks is going to be bcf

He has 2 perplexes. He can perplex damage up a 5. So his 3 attacks would be 5+4+3 (12) damage.

If you can get D.E.A.D.P.O.O.L. positioned by Juston's Program in a New Prime Directive special to make a close combat attack after the free move, you have the possibility of making 4 attacks with D.E.A.D.P.O.O.L.

I would consider Blue Lantern Recruit over Storm. TK and enhancement that's pushable into TK and prob vs smoke cloud and possible late dial pw only if they don't 1 shot her off of click 2... debatable at least. Having alpha strike and yo-yo options are nice. I would also say an entity, if you have one (Proselyte, Parallax, Ophidian, Black Hand, Eclipso), and an ID card (Nightwing w/Zucco, The Atom) would be better than Baxter since you have a ton of healing already and an entity + zucco will offer more versatility and more stats.
