Would an ATA power (Example: I'm With Cap from the Civil War Movie Set) take the place of an ATA card for force building, or is it a separate upgrade?

I did a bunch of digging, and I can't come up with a solid answer.

"I'm with Cap", for example, is a costed trait, not an ATA. No interaction there, so standard ATA use would be fine. There are some figures that do have actual ATAs printed on, but the language is different (keyword dependent, must go on everyone on team who qualifies, etc) and it's printed on the backside of the card after the power list as far as I know. Mostly pieces from IIM did this, but there may have been some afterwards.

And that's what I get for pulling one of the top of my head.

But would those figures that DO have it on the card count as an ATA for force building?

I just checked IIM Absorbing Man. On the back of the card it has the Wrecking Crew ATA, and it literally says "ATA" before anything else. Being on there is just for convience basically, and so they could be used in sealed. If used, it would be THE ATA for your force. But you could not use it and do something different and the fact it's printed on there won't matter. There's no "special privileges" by having it on the card.

Unless something says "ATA", it's it's own effect that's figure specific, like letting Tony's pals gain plasticity through "Iron Man is right". You could pay for it for Black Widow, but not for Panther, and only Widow would get it. But you could use an Avengers ata for both of them.
