adw067 hawkeye - how many running shots can he make?
His special power reads:
Quote
RAPID-FIRE TRICK SHOOTING: Hawkeye can use Running Shot. Each time Hawkeye hits an opposing character with a range attack, after actions resolve, he can use Running Shot again as a free action, but only to target a character that wasn't attacked this turn.
.
The key of our confusion here is the Each time part - it sort of omplieas he can use running shot as a free action multiple time, skipping the "you can't repeat a free action during a turn". Is that right?
If I'm reading the wording correctly, it just keeps happening until you miss.
RAPID-FIRE TRICK SHOOTING: Hawkeye can use Running Shot. Each time Hawkeye hits an opposing character with a range attack, after actions resolve, he can use Running Shot again as a free action, but only to target a character that wasn't attacked this turn.
EDIT:
Actually, you can only use his power for targets not previously attacked using his special ability. Once you run out of targets as described, that's all she wrote.

Reason: Removed "by hawkeye" reference; changed targeted to attacked
Actually, you can only use his power for targets not previously targeted (by Hawkeye) using his special ability. Once you run out of targets as described, that's all she wrote.
That "(by Hawkeye)" shouldn't be there. He can only target characters that haven't been attacked by anyone on this turn.
According to the wording Hawkeye can only continue to target characters that have not been targeted this turn. The wording is different on Yondu where it says "has not yet been targeted this action". Therefore, you should try to always attack with Hawkeye first and when I played Hawkeye and Yondu together.... Hawkeye went first and Yondu second.

"previously targeted' should also be "previously attacked", as there is a big difference.
If played as part of your active force , make sure he attacks first. Otherwise use him as a call in which must be activated at the beginning of the turn.
Really do be, or really do be do. There is no try
- scooby doo
There seems to be a consensus here, but not really an explanation. Why does this power get around the limitation of one use of an action as a free action per turn? I'm surprised this hasn't been asked on WIN yet.
Also, it's somewhat moot, because with only 2 printed damage and damage depletion, the third attack would do 0 damage without some perplexes/enhancements.
