Special Powers
SAVING THE PRESIDENT: Once per game, if another friendly character within 10 squares and line of fire would be hit by a range attack, you may place The Flash in a square adjacent to the target and that attack misses that target. If you do, for the rest of the game, The Flash's speed value becomes 0 and he can use Sidestep and Outwit.
How does this interact with a piece performing a single target pulsewave onto a another figure that would activate this and the Flash be outside of the area of effect of the piece doing the pulsewave?
Would both take 1 damage?
Or
Would that attack auto fail ?
Really do be, or really do be do. There is no try

Assuming Flash is outside the area of effect before and after placement, there's nothing on HIM for the Pulse Waver to ignore, so it SHOULD work.
If I'm right.
I haven't the foggiest clue what happens if you try to place him inside the area of effect. I don't THINK it matters, given that you're long beyond the actual Pulse Wave attack and are moving on to doing damage, but I don't know for certain. Anyone else?
If the Flash did not have the initial lines of fire drawn to him, then his powers are not ignored. Whether he is subsequently placed within the AOE of the Pulse Wave is irrelevant. The Pulse Wave attack will just miss.
Even if Flash is placed in Range after the dice are rolled, he is still not a target of the Pulse Wave.
Thus, the attack will miss the single target and no one will take damage.
