I had a question about The Flash from the Flash set, specifically about:
Quote
HYPERSONIC SPEED BREAKAWAY +2. POWER: Halve range, improved movement: This character can move through squares adjacent to or occupied by opposing characters without stopping. (Still needs to break away.), Passengers:0. Move, then make an attack, then move up to ‘your speed value minus the number of squares just moved’.
Quote
Patrolling both Cities At Once: The Flash can use Hypersonic Speed. When he does, you may remove a Speed token from this card and he may then make a second close combat attack or use Outwit as a free action during this move and then continue his movement.
I know no one truly knows how to play some of the past rules (especially now that he's not modern), but I wanted to see how some of you thought about this special power. Since the attack for Hypersonic no longer takes place during movement, if Flash removed a speed token to use outwit or the close attack, when does he get to take the attack/outwit?
Since "this move" was not intended to refer to the now two separate moves from HS, does he get to pick which movement during which to make the attack/outwit? Does he get to make the second attack/outwit just in conjunction with the first attack when he is stopped? Or, is he just sad and broken? Also a possibility!
Patrolling both Cities At Once: The Flash can use Hypersonic Speed. When he does, you may remove a Speed token from this card and he may then make a second close combat attack or use Outwit at NO COST after the first move, and then make his second move.
I feel like that would be true to the intent of the original effect.

dairoka's fix is the simplest, but doesn't actually retain the original functionality. Trying to do so would involve some serious word-salad errata, but would basically come down to there being a third movement during the HSS. So, move, stop, attack/Outwit, move, stop, attack/Outwit, move.
But this is going to have to be one of those "ask your local judge and see how they want to handle it" situations.
