So I look at the fast forces figures in star trek. Initially I think Spock gets +1 to attack granted by his trait, Mr Scott gets +1 damage granted by his trait etc. Then I read Koloth ' s special power where he can up himself and all klingons +1 defense. The wording of the power is different then the traits of fast forces characters. So now I think that Spock doesn't get the +1 to his attack etc.
But I'm told that I'm incorrect here, so I need it explained. Koloth ' s power confuses me.
I HAVE ANALYZED THEIR TACTICS, CAPTAIN: UNIQUE MODIFIER: Friendly characters that are adjacent or have the Starfleet keyword modify attack +1.
Yes, he gets the +1 from his trait. A character is always friendly to themselves.

LET ME ASSURE YOU OUR INTENTIONS ARE PEACEFUL: Perplex. UNIQUE MODIFIER - When Koloth uses it he may instead modify defense +1 on himself and all friendly characters that are adjacent or have the Klingon keyword.
As to why Koloth specifies "himself", I'm not really sure. It's superfluous. It parses a bit better that way, but the inconsistency does create some understandable confusion.
Characters with the keyword do not need to be adjacent at any point.
I had heard that Koloth had been nerfed so that his buff only works within range and line of fire. If that's the case why didn't the FF Bridge Crew get the same treatment?
Our have I misheard?

Perplex still has a range limit that has not been bypassed.

Pardon, as you say. Still it seems like if Star Fleet has so many buffs don't the Klingons deserve one?
I actually really like how the Klingons are designed. I have yet to run them together, but on paper, they seem like they'd be a fairly solid fighting force.

I've run them about six times and they are seriously fun.....but they get picked to pieces closing with your opponent.
The token shedding and healing make up for the general lack of willpower. I managed to win ( by points ) against a team of the Gorn, Trelane, Charlie X, Tribbles, Khan...and Skeets.
Wow, Trelane is ANNOYING. Sadly my other five games didn't go so well, of course three of them were against chase teams and the other two were against teams that had Groot Thor and Ice Barrier Captain Cold that managed to tie my team down and keep me from getting enough Empower to get through the other teams reducers.
P.S. If you can give them a little Plasticity to tie down their opponents or a little barrier to cover their advance I think it'd go a long way to increasing their overall survivability.
Also while I was running Kor, Koloth, a commander two captains and a lieutenant I don't have Kang so I can't actually gauge how he effects the team overall.
