The old insect barriar question. Does it affect both players....I ask because some say yes and some say no....I don't know if the rulings have changed or not...please help me because it's been a while since I played...

AGAIN...I know this is an old question, so please don't hate :)

Insect barrier only affects your opponents monsters........... you can attack freely with any insect type monsters you wish to............ happy duelings

Your opponent's Insect-Type monsters cannot attack as long as this card remains face-up on the field.

Yeah what he said, the best way to use Insect Barrier is with DNA Surgery. Turn all of your opponent's mons into Insects and with Insect Barrier out he/she can't attack, unless he/she figures out a way to get rid of those cards. The best part is YOU can still attack.

I did look at that first, couldn't find it. And I know the text, but a long time ago when I played more often the ruling was that all insects couldn't attack. Thanks for the input though.
