You may be thinking that "No warrior deck is 'Uncommon'". Well there you're wrong. The most common Warrior deck seen is Chaos-Warrior. Which is completely unoriginal. I uppose unoriginality in duelist. So I have decided to build another warrior deck that sees very little play, though is in some ways better then Chaos-Warrior.
The deck I have in mind has just gained extreme power with the release of Rise of Destiny. If you haven't looked beyond this point, you may have guessed the deck all ready. It is a Mystic Swordsman deck.
The only Mystic Swordsman who has mainly seen play is Mystic Swordsman LV4, however most Chaos-Warrior decks wont run him, due to him being an earth type monster. So I built this deck, in hopes of showing everyone the light, that Chaos is not the only other powerful archtype. Oh, and by the way, this deck has defeated many Chaos(and Chaos-Warrior) decks.
Main Deck:
[Monsters] (18)
1 Dark Magician of Chaos
1 Mystic Swordsman LV6
2 Mystic Swordsman LV4
2 Mystic Swordsman LV2
1 Tribe-Infecting Virus
2 Marauding Captain
2 Goblin Attack Force
2 Command Knight
1 Sinister Serpant
1 Exiled Force
1 Cyber Jar
1 Fiber Jar
1 Jinzo
[Spells] (18)
2 Level Up!
1 Mage Power
1 Pot of Greed
1 Heavy Storm
3 Book of Moon
1 Change of Heart
1 Premature Burial
2 Nobleman of Crossout
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 The Warrior Return Alive
1 Swords of Revealing Light
2 Reinforcement of the Army
[Traps] (4)
1 Call Of The Haunted
1 Ring of Destruction
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Magic Cylinder
Fusion Deck:
None
Side Deck:
None
All right, now you may be thinking "No Side Deck, is this guy a newbie?". Well actually I'm not. You see, I am giving you, the viewer, this deck to use. This means, you side deck what you see fit to side deck. I would suggest One or Two Tsukuyomi's, Another Mystic Swordsman LV2 and another Level Up! for starters. Possibly 2 Barrel Behind the Door's, and a Magical Scientist. If you add Magical Scientist though, for the Fusions I'd suggest Dark Balter the Terrible, Thousand Eyes Restrict, and Ryu Senshi. And you may also want to add a few Axe of Despair's and a few The A. Force's.
If you managed to actually read this far, please Rate and Fix this deck, and I'll do the same for yours, happen it is posted in your Signature or you tell me the link.
Also, if you were wondering. This decks record is 13 Victories, 1 loss, and 0 Ties. And the Loss was when I was still modifiying this deck.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but since when was two tributes too many for a deck? Especially when one can come out without tributing in the first place? I say keep the Jinzo (::glances at avatar::...nope, not partial to the Jinzo at all). Now, as for the extreme lack of traps...you might want to consider adding in Magic Jammers/Drains just for magic-stopping purposes (especially since you have the Serpent for free recursion), and a Waboku or two or maybe even Sakuretsu Armor to save you GAFs from sure death. Secondly, if you wanted to, you could turn this deck into a mean control deck focused around Mystic Swordsman Lv. 6's effect. If they keep drawing the same monster card every time and keep putting it face-down (perhaps through no fault of their own, with 3 Book of Moon), then you're free to pound their face in. If you wanted to do that (or at least side-deck the idea), I'd add in another Lv. 6, a couple of Don Zaloogs, Confiscation, The Forceful Sentry, and perhaps some Back to Square Ones to slow down their draws. Just a few ideas.
As for Tribe being able to hurt me, I realize this, so I could just swap it and another monster for two Kinetic soldiers out of my side-deck. I sould try the magic jammers/drains, should I take out 1 Rivalry of Warlords, and both Dust Tornado's for them, or all 3 Rivalry of Warlords?
Also, the Painful Choice I added in, my local store is out of Snatch Steals(It was originally planned for the deck), sense my other two were stolen it'll be hard to get them. And while Blade Knight may be good for some people, he supports bad hand control, and I usually always have about 2-3 cards in my hand at all times, so he would rarelly help me. And I have tried multiple copies of LV6, and an Extra LV4 already, it seems like a good thought on drawing boards, but believe me it isn't good. I ended up drawing them when I least needed it, and had to end up side decking them for the remaining two rounds after I lost one. So I like sticking to the pyrimid of 3-2-1.
So lemme get this straight...you swap out a dangerous card for a card that will absolutely WRECK you because you have almost NO answer to get rid of it? If that Kinetic Soldier hits the field, your opponent (after he picks himself up off the floor from laughing at you so hard) will Creature Swap and smash every single last one of your warriors...okay, so I've had a few bitter experiences versus that little thing.
As for the magic stoppers, I'd take out the Rivalry of Warlords...the jammers and drains will prove infinitely many more times useful. And it would never hurt just to run one copy of Blade Knight for the just-in-case principle: just in case you have nothing left and happen to topdeck a Warrior Returning Alive or a Reinforcement of the Army, you just got yourself a 2000-atk flip-effect stomper. I personally like the thing, but that might be just me.
I built this deck based on the Tournament I goto. The worst thing that can happen to Kinetic Soldier is Snatch Steal or Change of heart, 1/20 chance. Noone really runs creature swap. And even if they did, I'd most likely know before I took out Kinetic Soldie and put him in my main deck. Or I could Ring of Destruction him, or book of moon him. There is a 1/10 chance I draw them. And I currently have little money, so I'll Main Deck a Blade Knight happen I can afford one.
