It is an interesting idea that I have tried before. In my experience, it can't handle a really offensive deck. Eventually you just run out of cards that stop their cards. Also remember that most of the cards you listed have fairly steep costs. Discarding cards from your hand is never good unless you are using Sinister of Night Assailant. Paying Life Points is also bad. It you do that no much it will eventually catch up with you and will lose anyway bacause you killed your self. I would suggest trying a deck with more counters than a normal deck, not devoting your whole deck to cards like that. Then have an alternative plan of attack.
wade8813-what cards do u usually put in this type of deck?
ZaQ777-i plan on running a very fast offensive swarm(dd warriors) for the monster portion; i just need to know what cards i should use for the negation part of the deck
its possible to be good... you could try a hybrid between it and a horus deck. Or wait until Selket and the other card he goes with, which would boost the deck some.
I dunno about straight-on negate everything, but I think lockdown would be better.
Some lockdown/negation strategies:
- Legendary Fisherman/Deepsea Warrior, Level Limit, Royal Decree, ALO
- Last Warrior, Jinzo, Spell Cancellor, and whatever else to fill in the holes...
- Ojama Trio, Ground Collapse and Spatial Collapse; or two Ojama Trios, attack one, then use a 2nd Ojama Trio and Spatial Collapse
- Horus Lv6, Wicked-Breaking Flamberge and Royal Decree
No single lockdown is going to cover everything (except maybe the Ojama/Spatial Collapse combo), but you definitely will get pretty close in most instances.
well, it is possible but what happens if they update the ban list, to make it suck more, well anyway if they do that they could ban cards like: magic jammer, trap jammer, dust tornado, etc, etc. So yes it is possibe but make it a good one. :p :)
would a deck that is based around negating most of your opponents cards be possible/effective
u could use alot of cards like the following:
horn of heaven
solemn judgement
magic drain
divine wrath
dust tornado(to stop the traps)
all suggestions would be appreciated
Absolutely! I've been using a stall deck as my main deck since I started playing. All my monsters are low level except for a few nobleman eater bugs. I don't attack with this either. All it does it stall the opponent and renew my life continually. It takes along time to beat this and I usually end up decking opponents out. Magic Cylinder, Des Counterblow, Gravity Bind, Mask of Restrict, Cemetary Bombs, Draining Shields, Wabokos, etc. for traps and spells like Double Snare, Dark Door, Messangers of Peace, Level limit Area B, FLint, Gravekeeper's Servents, Soul Releases, etc. Monsters are all effect and usually renew points Like White Magician Pikeru, Skull Mark Ladybug, and Nimble Momonga. And the best backup card I have is Fiber Jar. Once I Soul Release enough opponent cards out, then I restart the game. Hope this helps you!
darkman that is very very close to what i was thinking
i agree with absorber of souls
i dont like pure stall decks
although i do wish to create a deck that negates your opponents key cards but is aggresive at the same time
