Now first off i would like to say i am not bashing BLS or the chaos deck. But with the possible ban of BLS I ask what is the fate of the chaos deck.I would like to know what the general public thinks will happen to the chaos deck.
My question is if BLS does indeed get banned who will play Chaos Sorceror in it's place? If anyone has any opinons on what will happen. Not what they want to happen.I need in depth reasons on why. I do not want "o BLS is banned im going to run beatdown cause the soldier was good and the sorceror is not as good as BLS". Please when you take the time to think about this do not say but BLS is so much better because that will not help me nor anyone else. We all know that BLS is God incarnate.
i dont really know about chaos's decks, but i know that if you ask someone what they run for a deck, and they say chaos, you know that BLS EotB is going to be in there, since he is the back-bone to the whole breed of chaos cards, next to Chaos Emperor Dragon. if they do ban him, id say there are going to be less chaos decks, with no offense to those who love running a chaos deck.
I think without BLS chaos decks are, for the most part, dead. Chaos Sorcerer will not takes its place. Personally, I sometimes run CS along side BLS because, heck, my deck is stacked with Lights and Darks anyway. Without BLS, it won't be worth it to try to throw a high number of lights/darks into your deck. CS just isn't worth it by itself.
I think people will try runnign chaos decks with sorcerer for a bit and thenr ealize that he's just not good enough, and move on to other decks. Warriors will probably step up to bat as the main main deck type, and then if a lot of their stuff gets weakened, i really wouldn't be surprised to see zombies on the come up.
I still think REAL chaos decks will be very playable still, even without its 2 heavy hitters. Just because they lose their 2 most broken cards doesn't kill the ENTIRE deck since there are other "chaos" monsters they can use like Dark Magician of Chaos, Chaos Sorcerer, Witchdoctor of Chaos, Chaosrider Gustaph, Chaos Necromancer, etc. Just quitting on a deck just cause its best cards may not be in it is pretty silly to me.
Just because Yata-Garasu and Delinquent Duo is banned, I haven't seen THAT much decrease in hand control decks. Sure they may be a bit more mixed, but they're still widely played with their other counterparts.
The only type of decks I think would die would be if there was only ONE (or 2) card(s) that the deck REALLY relied upon got banned like Scientist FTK based decks. If Scientist got banned, the deck would basically fall apart since he's the very core of the deck and without it, the deck just can't work the way you want it to.
At least chaos decks STILL have PLENTY of other cards that can be used with it (though no one ever seemed to bother trying them out). Chaos End could DEFINITELY see play in today's metagame, but just the mention of needing 7 cards removed makes people dump it when, with all the removal still done, it could be an easy Dark Hole replacement.
Heck, you don't even need Chaos Emperor Dragon or Chaos Soldier for a Chaos Deck. Just a standard mix of Light and Dark attribute monster's could be considered a "chaos" deck alone. So..if Chaos Soldier ended up banned with its Dragon brother, Chaos decks will, virtually, be unaffected in my opinion. Problem is, people put SO much reliance on Soldier to fill in Chaos Emperor Dragon's #1 position in the deck that it seems like there's NOTHING else that could work.

You must have a totally different metagame than most of the rest of us. Hand control decks are virtually nonexistant now. The only widely played deck is Chaos. Go to any regional and you'll see.

Actually..it's different like...everywhere..I still see hand control A LOT in a lot of places. Even if it's not completely based around it, I still see The Forceful Sentry, Confiscation, Don Zaloog, Spirit Reaper, Forced Requisition and such used.
If both CED and Chaos Soldier are banned, I personally think that Chaos will be dead. Few will want to run Sorceror and those that do will find that he's just not as good as his two bigger brothers.
I will say this: The day Chaos dies as a popular decktype I will jump for joy. I don't like Chaos, it's too widespread, cheap, and Cookie-Cutter!!

I agree too but i think to completely annialate the "chaos" deck they should get rid of the sorceror too. if they don't and the sorceror does become the new thing and nothing changes then we have another 6 months of boring gameplay waiting till the next ban list.since those that say it sucks and will not change anything should have no problem with it being banned with the soldier too. i think it is by far the best possible move to make.then the tier 2 decks can be played. im gonna quote a man that has kept me in this game after the first ban"in yugioh there isn't the best deck.there is the only deck.if u wanna get your invite run chaos."
Chaos will obviously be worse with the banning of BLS, but it won't be dead (and I'm not talking about Chaosrider Gustaph/Chaos Necromancer/etc. They aren't quite the same).
In many situations, Chaos Sorcerer can be just as good as BLS; an almost guaranteed 2 for 1. Chaos will go down in popularity, but will still be playable.
Heck, people were even guessing that Chaos would die with the banning of CED...
i believe that ppl play envoy in just about every deck because of his good atk, optional efffects and easy summon
so i think chaos decks{the way they r now(beatdown/warriors/control)}will probably die
but i think that alot of ppl will start runing decks that have ways to get multiple chaos sorcerors out on the field very fastly and abuse their effect more
basically i believe that some ppl will abandon chaos decks but others will just change the style of a chaos deck if envoy is banned
ps i hope he gets banned because 95% of the decks i ever play are chaos and it does get borings

i think that people play the chaos monsters cause they mess up the attack"curve". just like zombies do.they can bring out huge guys when your opponet is not prepared to deal with something that buff in that part of the game (whether that is the early game and you haven't gotten all your tricks together or wen you are topdecking and they double smash for over 4 k and you just scoop it up). you might also have to exhaust alot of your resources to get rid of it. since alot of monsters that are very playable are light and dark even before chaos came out it is just like a free summon.
since things are going to die and you might as well use your resources to the fullest it makes complete sense to use chaos since most things you want to play already fit that deck type.
