A Couple of Questions, i haven't found answers for
1. If you have got a unit with stealth in hindering terrain, can other friendly units use perplex and prob control on them? ie. does stealth affect targeting by friendly units? The rules make it seems like it does affect your own units.
2. Can you mind control a unit and take an action even if it has had an action this turn? The rulebook states 'You may never give more than one action per turn to any character in your force'
3. Can you mind control a unit that is currently pushed? if so what can you do with it?
4. If you outwit 'flying' on a unit that is soaring, does it mean that when outwit wears off and he/she is now back on the ground hovering?
5. If you make an attack roll and fail, can you use perplex to bump up your attack value AFTER the roll to make it succeed?

1.yes, stealth affects everything, UNLESS you turn it off voluntarily.
2.Mind Control is different...you can MC a figure TWICE given that they DON'T have any tokens to start with. if having only one token to start with, then you may MC this fig once.
3.no.
4.no, as soon as outwit has taken a full turn, the figure goes back to soaring mode.
5.no.

Some of Lancelot's answers are only appropriate under the old rules set. So you know what to expect here's the answers under the new rules set.
1) Yes. However you can turn it off so that you can affect your own unit. Turning it off lasts til the end of your turn, so there's not really any bad side effects to this.
2) Under the new rules. Yes. You will get a free action and can do whatever 1 action you want with the figure within it's capabilities. It will NOT recieve an action token. It can attack, Perplex, Outwit, use a Mind Control Action, whatever.
3) See number 2.
4) As soon as Outwit wears off by being outwitted, the figure losing outwit, or outwit's time limit ending. the figure goes back to soaring. Though under the new rules outwiting soaring is even less useful than it is now.
5) No. Perplex MUST be used before the attack action is declared. Probability control is the only roll altering power that can be used after an attack. (Super Senses/Impervious doesn't alter the attack it just allows for a "dodge").

lancelot's answers are 100% correct under the current rules.
However, MC has a major change in the post-Indy rules. MC no longer assigns tokens for the actions given by MC. This means that there is no limit to the number of times you can MC any one figure. Also, you can MC a pushed figure.
The new rules will be official around the 15th of October, so until then, go with lancelot's answers.
im not going to ever play by the new rules so i ll never rule on them in such ways. (save for the fliers cannot carry fliers, i will definitely implement that, but the rest of it, down the chute...)

AND I have noticed your quality contributions in the past....it would be a shame to lose your counsel
I bet that come x-mas time, the nay sayers will have forgotten this TRANSITION period.
Warhammer changes rules every 4 or 5 years..and many quit, but the game continues to grow everytime...next year most players will wonder what the old rules were and when the hear them, they will be glad they got into the game late and missed this period of transition and the old rules.
I'd have to say that the rules have always changed for the better. The biggest jump was from 2nd to 3rd, it seemed like really stupid new rules system but once you played it and got used to it, it became and lot quicker and better.
I still like my army general in terminator armour/displacer field with a lascannon on a bike though (thankyou 1st ed )
Or my Assassin with polymorphine, dodge, powerfist, terminator armour and a displacer field (ruled out half way through 2nd ed in a FAQ)
The rules in Heroclix seems to have changed, but the changes in most game systems remove 'cheesy' combos and characters and switch the focus more onto the gameplay and tactics which is what wargaming is for.
My 3.14 cents worth, bit off topic though, please don't hate me ...
