Player a activates Giant Trunade and chains serial spell

my question is will giant trunade be return to it's owners hand as well since Serial Spell resolves first

This will not work.

Think about it this way, Normal spells, once used, becomes empty husks that cannot be used and can only be negated by the proper negator.
