I finally got hold of the Marvel Map set this week and I have a question about the rules for capturing bystanders.

Can this rule be used in normal play to capture opposing figures? i.e. I capture an opposing team member and use them as mobile cover (in the typical hostage taking fashion).

The capturing rules and other scenerio rules that come with the map set are listed as being "Scenerio Rules," so I'm pretty sure they don't apply outside the scenerios that come with the map sets.

The capture rules apply only to scenario games where the tokens are being used as bystander characters and not playable pieces. In a normal combatitive game the only pieces that can capture are the big figs, and tokens are normal combat figures. Tokens can also only be used as non-bystanders if both players agree to allow them.
