With Masked Dragon can you special summon the monster in defense mode? I was having a argument about this with someone at my local non-sanctioned cardshop tourney, because it doesnt specify a positition on the card. What is the ruling? Im pretty sure you can s. summon it in defense.

Yes You May Summon It In Defense Mode Just Make Sure In FACE-UP Position.

Unless the card specifically states a position, it can be ATK or DEF, but MUST be face up since all special summons must be face up unless stated otherwise (like Spear Cretin, Cyber Jar, The Shallow Grave, Morphing Jar #2, etc).

Stuff like Mystic Tomato, Shining Angel and other's specifically state the monster's must be face up ATK.
