Okay, I play a Horus deck, and one of my main Dragon's is difinately King Dragun. King Dragun is a LV7 Dragon. You can use Fusilier Dragon or Swift Gaia and Metamorphosis to get it right out to the field, instead of Lord of D + Ragnarok Dragon + Polymerization. So, which do you think would be better in a dragon deck, focusing on agression? I'll post the deck so you can get a little insite to what I'm playing with. So, let's look at the pro's and con's of both first.
-Fusilier Dragon-
Pro's:
-Can be summoned at any time.
-If special summoned, it has a higher ATK rating than Gaia.
-Has more combo's than Gaia. (Although, the only one I play is Book of Moon, which Fusilier would have to last in ATK/DEF mode for a turn anyway. Not likely. I also run Meta but, it can be used for both.)
Con's:
-Weak, and defensless if summoned right away.
-Swift Gaia-
Pro's:
-If there is nothing else in your hand, you can have a 2300 ATK beatstick.
Con's:
-Cannot be summoned right away, unless it's the only card in your hand.
This is the deck I'm currently running:
Monsters: 17
1x Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8
2x Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV6
3x Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV4
3x Luster Dragon (LV4)
3x Mirage Dragon
3x Swift Gaia The Fierce Knight/Fusilier Dragon, Dual Mode Beast
1x Breaker The Mgaical Warrior
1x Exiled Force
Spells: 17
1x Pot of Greed
1x Graceful Charity
1x Premature Burial
1x Swords of Revealing Light
1x Snatch Steal
3x Metamorphosis
3x Book of Moon
2x Nobleman of Crossout
1x Ground Smash
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Stamping Destruction/A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon
Traps: 6
1x Solemn Judgement
1x Call of The Haunted
1x Ring of Destruction
1x Mirror Force
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
Total: 40
Side Note: I thought this would be best in this forum, since I'm asking about the cards, in use to get King Dragun on the field. This is not a deck fix!
Fusilier. Swift Gaia requires you to empty your hand first, which is never a good thing, and also defeats the purpose of King Dragun.
LMAO! Good point. I didn't think about the second effect of Dragun. I can't believe I didn't think of that. I guess I should get some sleep... I've been up for over 30 hours. Not used to it. XD
Also...like Fusiler Dragon, Dark Knight Gaia of the Gale is only a NORMAL summon...so if you have an empty hand and Normal Summon it without tributes, opponent can Trap Hole it and....you're sort of screwed, lol.
