No argument here. Growing up, I got to enjoy Perez on the Avengers (along with some shorter stints on the FF). He has always been the artist that I compare all others against. He's perfect for the Avengers/JLA cross-over. I hope they use that as the cover for issue 3.
All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race.
Personally I'm thinking that it's a poster. It's got alot of inactive characters on it (2 Iron Man's guess one's Jim Rhodes) and at least one radically changed MAJOR character (Hal Jordan).
That said it's still very nice.

Actually, they've got versions of many people who have had versions - while I haven't found the Clint Barton Goliath, all the Hank Pyms are there... Giant Man, Goliath, Ant Man, and Yellowjacket. BUT this doesn't rule out anything - if my glance at Previews serves me right (I try SO hard not to learn about this stuff in advance...) SPOILERS
Kang and The Master of Time are villains in issue 3. So all bets are officially in the off position.
Have a Great Day,

My end goal and greatest hope: Mat 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
All I know is that I'd hate to be the supervillain in the path of that brigade.

Besides Jim Rhoades and Hal Jordan, they've also got Guy Gardner (who I'm pretty sure is dead), and Sandman (who I'm pretty sure is a villain again) teamed up there ...

Kang and the Master of Time were in a pic that seems to date from the 80's (check out Z's costume, for instance). I don't think they will be in the series.

Awesome! He even got the Great Lakes Avengers in there! And another Hank Pym, Dr. Pym with Red Jacket. Also noticed the Guardians of the Galaxy in there. Were they made honorary Avengers back in the mid to late 100's issues?

Nah he is alive. He was killed during the Our Worlds at War storyline but was brought back to life in a Superman story. Kancer sacrificed his life to save Supes and Guy from being trapped in a pocket of hell forever. (Kancer was a kryptonite cancer given life by General Zod, that infected Superman a while back, it's complicated.....don't ask)
