I have been wondering about a card people have been using lately called Ninja grandmaster saskue. If he attacks a Sprit Reaper it would die do to his effect if it was in defence position. However what if he attacks a facedown monster? Is it flipped face up and then destroyed since he now battles a face up defence position monster or does his effect not activate since the monster was face down when he attacked it like the ruling I heard for Atomic Firefly?

Next question. Can I tribute my Jinzo for Deck Devastation Virus?

Ninja Sasuke's effect will not activate if its hitting a face down monster.

If skill drain is active.

Ok so I take it you have to activate a card before you can tribute for it otherwise DDV would work with Jinzo.

If Skill Drain is not on the field(active), and Jinzo is face up, you could not activate Deck Devastation Virus. This is because of the fact that Jinzo prevents the activation of any trap card. Kind of like why you can't Trap Hole him, or why Skill Drain could not be activate once Jinzo is face up on the field.

What I meant was to trib Jinzo for DDV before you activate it so it would work. If you can't do this assume you have to play cards before paying a cost for them otherwise this would work.

You cannot do this because you would have to declare the activation and flip it face up and declare you're sacrificing to pay for the activation

Jinzo being face up on the field prevents you from doing this.
