This is my Viral Fiend Deck, "Demonic Infection". After floating around the Fiend Tactics thread in the strategy section, I decided to put together a fun yet nasty deck that I hope to test out soon in competitive play. The main strategy of this deck is to keep an eye on my opponent's hand and flush out whatever threat he/she may have, while at the same time infecting thier hand and field with various other nasties.
If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment.
I think your trib monsters are fine as they are. If you want more use out of those Assailants, try using Magician of Faith or Slate Warrior over one of your Giant Orcs.
NatoTheShinobi, this is one great deck. However, let's do something:
- 3x Trap Dustshoot
Trap Dustshoot
Normal Trap You can activate this card only when your opponent has 4 or more cards in his/her hand. Look at your opponent's hand, then select 1 Monster Card and return it to its owner's Deck. The Deck is then shuffled.
I don't like the fact that this has an activation requirements (your opponent MUST have more than 3 cards) and while returning a monster back to the deck is fine and dandy, I think you need more flexibility so as not to infest their Monsters only, but their Spell and Trap cards as well, and maybe the posibilty of taking out multiple cards. So instead, may I suggest....
+ 3 Mind Crush
Mind Crush
Normal Trap Declare 1 card name. If your opponent has a declared card(s) in his/her hand, discard all of the declared card(s) to the Graveyard. Otherwise, you randomly discard 1 card from your hand.
Nice effect, and with the Deck Devastation Virus and D.D. Designators, this card is the third leg in the trinity. Activate Deck Devastation Virus and drop a few monsters and look at their hand, then D.D. Designate something and then Mind Crush. Or use Mind Crush and look at their hand and THEN D.D. Designator. You'll constantly have a lok at your opponent's hand and keep them off balance.
Besides, I've found that you can see a lot of cards coming a MILE away. If they switch a Sheep Token to attack mode, respond with "Mind Crush - Creature Swap!" and dine on Pork Chops next turn. If they summon a Sinister Serpent, chances are that they have Metamorphosis or Creature Swap in their hand.
Maybe instead of that third Book of Moon, you might wanna try "Mind Wipe"
Mind Wipe
Quickplay Spell Card You can only activate this card if your opponent has 3 or less cards in his/her hand. Your opponent adds his/her hand to the Deck and shuffles it, then draws the same of number of cards he/she added to the Deck.
Which also disrupts all of the combos discussed in my previous paragraph, PLUS it's also a great way to get a nice use of DDV. After DDV has taken effect, have your opponent shuffle their diminished hand back into their deck and draw a new hand, that DDV can further diminish.
What do you think?

Some of the cards you guys suggested are good, there are reasons this guy is running certain cards and I'l like to merge all the strategies within his deck.
your traps should look like this...
1 Deck Devastation Virus
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Ring Of Destruction
1 Mind Crush
2 Drop Off
2 Trap Dustchute
3 D.D. Designators is too much, drop down to 2. same with book of moon. 2 is much suitable. you also have no need for united we stand. Add Brain Control and Lightning Vortex as well as morphing Jar, Cyber Jar, and even needle worm to consider
Okey Dokey. I've finally made and update to my Viral Deck, and here it is:
~Monsters~ (16)
2x Dark Ruler Ha Des
3x Giant Orc
2x Night Assailant
2x Needle Worm
2x Don Zaloog

Brain Control
Snatch Steal

I decided not to go with Morphing Jar or Cyber Jar becuase this deck is mainly focused on control. By allowing my opponent to draw or pick up cards I'm also allowing them to possibly get an advantage that I obviously don't want them to have, so it's better that I do without the Jars. However, I did go with Needle Worm because it's a fantastic discarding card and it also fits the whole infection theme of the deck.

With the inclusion of Cybernetic Magician, I've been able to boost the ATK of my weaker monsters (specifically my Giant Germs) and make these monsters eligible for DDV's effect. I've also taken a strong liking to Thestalos, but sidedecked two of them because Mefist is a bit faster and doesn't require a tribute for his discard effect. When Elemental Energies is released over here, I can guarantee that this deck will see a Dark Realm based makeover with the inclusion of the War Gods of Dark Realm.
So, what do you think? I know this deck may seem a little unorthodox (a bit of an understatement), but it's very fun to play with and has proven to be extremely effective in serious tournament play.

With the national release of Elemental Energy quickly approaching, I have given my deck a Dark World facelift to keep up with the metagame. After going over it and testing it again and again, I would have to say that this is the fiercest version of my deck yet (until Deck Destruction Virus is released). Please leave feedback, criticisms, tips, or whatever is on your mind.
