You are correct. Thousand-Eyes Restrict keeps all monsters from changeing their positions manually(which includes flip summoning).

opponet had 2 fd cards, one a guardian sphinx, a face up atk needle worm, fu def needle worm and fd unknown. i morphed my redc into thousand eyes and hoped to get his sphinx. when i attack his atk pos worm with f/d thousand eyes is 0/0 and that would destroy the f/d card right?
i lost that one because i let the flip go through and lost my b skull dragon and thousand eyes (messenger of peace on his side so bsd could not attack)

what fusion (prefer dark) would let me get rid of gravity bind and or messenger?

Merely flipping a monster face-up with an attack does not count as changing its battle position. Also, using a card effect to change a monster's battle position is still allowed.

Things that marely prevent changing a monster's battle position is usually JUST by changing through a manual change.

They can still use cards effects like Book of Taiyou, Desert Sunlight, etc to change their monster's posiion since it's an outside effect.
