Right now I run a Tsukuyomi deck and is basically a combo deck, and surprisingly works well. I will post a list of combos of combos and how they work.
Tsukuyomi+Magician of Faith/Mask of Darkness
Take back your Spell/Trap, usually take Tremendous Fire, Wave-Motion Cannon or Meteor of Destruction to burn the opponent to death. Then Ring of Destruction, Drop Off or Ceasefire for Traps. Drop Off every turn = Draw Lock. Then use Tsukuyomi to flip it face-down and repeat.
Tsukuyomi+The Immortal of Thunder
Gain 3000 LP. Not sure if you lose 5000 when it's face-up and destroyed but just do it twice to gain 1000 LP once destroyed. Then use Tsukuyomi to flip it face-down and repeat.
Tsukuyomi+A Cat of Ill Omen+Pharoah's Treasure
Activate Pharoah's Treasure and place it face-up in the deck. Then flip A Cat of Ill Omen and place it ontop of your deck. Then when you draw it, pick any card in your Graveyard and add it to to your hand.
Then I use other cards like Book of Moon, Solemn Judgement, plenty of stall, Nobleman of Crossout to get rid of BLS with Tsukuyomi for good, Pot of Greed, and MST to get rid of an annoying Continous card. Post any tactics you have here.
Yes desolutionist, you already did a long time ago.
Hey Oznij, do a search and you will find a lot of input about this wonderful card. I used her in my gravekeeper deck and still do, its amazingly versitatle, go for it.
And, everyone likes the good old "summon tysusomi, flip that Bacon Lettuce Sandwich face down, nobleman it.
I have a semi-Tsukuyomi deck. Basically, here is the monster setup:
Tsukuyomi x3
Mystic Swordsman lv.2 x3
Sonic Duck
Injection Fairy Lily
Sasuke Samurai #2
Magician of Faith x2
Mataza the Zapper x3
Spirit Reaper
Basically, its a low level lockdown/beatdown, which uses Tsukuyomi + Mystic Swordsman Lv2/Nobleman of Crossout to remove the opponents monsters, shut down their spell/trap with Sasuke Samurai #2, and hit them with Mataza/Sonic Duck equipped with Axe of Despair or Injection Fairy. The deck runs pretty well, and Tsukuyomi plays well in it.
If you're running a Tsukuyomi/Face-Down Deck, I highly suggest you add some Shadowslayers and Swords of Concealing Light. They compliment the overall theme perfectly and they have unbelievable synergy with Nobleman of Crossout. Also, have you thought about running a Mefist the Infernal General and/or Airknight Parshath? They're godly in this kind of deck.
Also, here are some of my favorite face-down combos:
Tsukuyomi + Creature Swap = You get an extra monster and your swapped Tsukuyomi will return to your hand during the End Phase.
Swords of Concealing Light + Solomon's Lawbook = Activate Solomon's Lawbook right before your SoCL's 2nd Standby Phase and you'll have a permanent SoCL.
Tsukuyomi/Book of Moon + Airknight Parshath + Ballista of Rampart Smashing = Equip Airknight with Ballista of Rampart Smashing and have Tsukuyomi/Book of Moon flip down one of your opponent's monsters, then have Airknight attack. You'll inflict a ton of Trample damage and you'll get a free card out of it. Best of all, Airknight can take down Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning this way.
Swords of Concealing Light + Byser Shock = Whoa. Byser Shock has a good use now. Flip all of your opponent's monsters face-down with SoCL and then bring out Byser Shock. Simple.
Book of Moon + Granmarg, the Rock Monarch = Another simple one. During the opponent's End Phase, flip one of their monsters face-down with Book of Moon, then bring out Granmarg during your turn and have it destroy the newly flipped-down monster.
Book of Moon + Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast = Summon Fusilier Dragon without tributes, set Book of Moon, and end your turn. During your opponent's turn, use Book of Moon to flip Fusilier Dragon face-down. If it gets flipped up during an attack or if you Flip-Summon it during your next turn, you'll have a huge monster on your field without having to tribute.
I'm not sure if I can add anymore than to what Naito and the rest had said. I've had some good success with a deck like this focused more on a permanent counterpart, Inferno Hammer. Yes this fiendish pounder does similar deeds with Tsukuyomi, but stays out thre.
Another person to consider with Tsukuyomi is Mystic Swordsman LV4. Most of the time you'd think to go with Sasuke or Mystic LV2 since you don't have to worry about the normal summoning aspects of things, but when Tsukuyomi is doing her thing, you can afford a turn wtih Mystic at LV4 in face down defense and THEN you have a 4 star 1900 attacker and an insta-gib with face down monsters.
Also consider Acid Trap Hole, flip 'em face down and then let them bubble away in a bit of acid. This is quite nice considering there's plenty a monster that can't survive.
if ur gonna use socl alot try dark mirrpr force, attacking with a new monster will cost them every one affected by socl. lets not forget needle worm and morphing jar if your a deck out fan. magical merchant for more speed, or with guardian sphinx if its ever stuck in attack mode
