Hi i enjoy the card Silent Swords man any lvl but i need help making a deck around him and i know theres so many of u great duelists here i might as well ask if any one has some tips hint what ever may help
what i've seen work is building a deck around SS's level and warrior classification. I've seen him teamed up with Mystic Swordsman (MS) and given all the support available to warriors and level monsters to create a pretty formidable deck. if you wish to proceed with this theme consider the following:
Level Up! (Magic) (run in 2's or 3's level speed / support)
The Graveyard in The Fourth Dimension (Magic) (level support to reload deck)
Reinforcement of the Army (Magic) (limited to 2, a staple for warrior decks)
Warrior Returning Alive (Magic) (warrior support)
Marauding Captain (Monster) (warrior swarm)
Book of Moon (Magic) (run in 2's or 3's, quick play magic and MS effect support)
Swords of Concealing Light (Magic) (run maybe 1, MS effect support / stall)
Torrential Tribute (Trap) (you'll need to attack direct to summon SS lv7)
Mirror Force (Trap) (same)
other than that run your staples like: Pot of Greed, Call of the Haunted, Graceful Charity, Swords of Revealing Light, Premature Burial, Mystical space Typhoon, and Magic Cylinder to make a pretty solid deck.
note: if you run SS lv7 try a few more traps than magic (to be safe) there are some useful traps like Dust Tornado, Sakuretsu Armor, and Ceasefire that often get over looked.
If your main goal is to keep your SSLV7 out on the field as long as possible, you need protection. Which is why Solemn Judgement works great in this deck. Half your life points is a big cost, but that can swing the game in your favour.
Shining Angels should be in there, searches the deck for LV3, and can be a great opening move. They attack Angel, you get out LV3. On your next standby phase, level up to level 5.
Marauding works in every warrior deck that runs at least four level 4 or lower monsters. That also works as a good opening move. Normal summon Captain, special summon LV3. They cant attack LV3, because of Marauding's effect, and they cant use targeting effects of Magic on your LV3. So they attack Captain, your standby phase, get out LV5.
The main thing to remember in any deck running "nomi" monsters is to have good timing on when to get those monsters out. Playing conservative is important. Wait for your opponent to use out most of his/her main resources and defences, and then press on with the LV7. Have some backup when against those D.D's and Chaos monsters. Solemn Judgement works well, and a few Bottomless Trap Holes can spell G-A-M-E in 2-5 turns. Good luck with your Swordsmen.
