Hey everybody,

Well i did a search and there never seemed to be a definitive Guardian thread ever started here in the Strategy and Tactics forum so i thought maybe this could be it.

Im after becoming interested in the Guardian cards and i'd like to make a deck out of them but apart from the monsters themselves and their equips, im drawing dead for any other useful cards... Arsenal Summoner springs to mind but thats it...

Anyone who has any tactics, combos etc. please post here! :nervous:

Also, what chances does Butterfly Dagger - Elma have of coming of the ban list anytime soon???

Collected Power-Moves the equips.Very useful with Guardians.

Tailor of the Fickle-Moves 1 equip.

Gearfreed the Swordmaster-Destroys monster with his effect and now the equip is out there for Guardian summons.

Armed Samauri Ben-Kai - Gets extra attack for each equip on him.double use.

Maha Vailo- +500 for each equip on him.power house

Giant Trunade - Re-use of equips and clears field of opponents s/t


Thats what I can think of.Collected Power works great with Swordmaster and Vailo/Ben Kai.Destroy monster then move it to monster with benefits

Spell Absorption
Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu
Arsenal Summoner
Fairy of the Spring

These are all good cards to use in a Guardian Deck.

Hey thanks guys that got me started down the right road anyway. Theres so many little used cards thatd be great in a guardian deck its not even funny!

I think i'll try starting off with Guardian Ceal x3 and maybe 1-2 of the others and see what happens. Im going to concentarte on loads of equips for Ceals effect so i dont think Gearfrieds'd be a good idea...getting Swordmaster out could be a pain if im sitting there with Iron Knights and Shooting Star bows in my hand...

Anywho thanks for the help! i guess theres not really too much other interest in Guardians out there!

Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu is a must in this deck type. I can't imagine running a real Guardian deck without 3 of these guys. The problem with this deck type is that there are so many Guardians and corresponding equips. Normally, it would just be easier to simply build around one or two Guardians.

Try using Smoke grenade of the thief with gearfreid if you use him. Its a good discard if you pull it off, too bad it doesnt work with Guardian Ceal. Also, blast with cahin is a decent equip to use, it also doesnt work with guardian ceal.sigh

I Ran a guardian Deck once, and it dod pretty good, but I retired it when Elma got banned. Summoning Elma and then returning mage Power on her ( or United...) can take doen a BLS!
The chances of Elma coming back are slim becuase their are to many cheap combos that can be used with it. For example......Gearfreed, Spellabsortion, how can you possibly lose...unless Exodia, Last turn, Final countdown(which you can combo this with..) or Destiny???
