what is the point of stealth what is it soposed to do?

Stealth is used to hide characters in (or behind) hindering terrain. If a line of sight/fire passes through hindering terrain on it's way to a fig with stealth (including if the fig is standing in hindering terrain) then that line can't be drawn to them.

... meaning... you can't make a ranged attack on a fig with stealth that is covered by hindering terrain. You can't outwit a fig in stealth, mind control them, or anything else that would have to "target" them.

How does stealth affect Close Combat? If Batgirl is atop a roof with hindering terrain and Logan makes his way to the roof and decides to use the same hindrance with his Stealth, can one target the other in CC?

No effect or benefit on close combat.

Thank you RobEng. Earlier this evening the combatants that I wrote of were in this situation. My opponent and I decided to have them fight it out because that seemed to make the most sense.
