This is the deck I'm planning to use at the Long Beach Regionals on May 29th. Give me suggestions/remarks and I'll do the same to your posts.

For the Anahiem Regional on April 23rd, I ran a Phoenix/Chaos/Metamorphosis deck that went 6-3. In the past month, I began to notice issues with the deck, mainly, the Phoenix equation... 1st you NEED to run "Hand" with it. 2nd you NEED to tribute 2 monsters (with "Hand" or not). 3rd both are TERRIBLE TOP DECKS! 4th it's low atk. It can be "bumped" with a Monarch or Jinzo. Due to it's low atk., your opponent would'nt think twice about "bumping" it with D.D. Assailant or D.D. Warrior Lady. 5th if sucked up by 1.000 Eyes, you don't get the recursion effect when 1.000 Eyes is destroyed. 6th if you manage to get it out (you'll probably need 2-4 cards), it's gonna suck if your opponent chains bottemless for all your effort. 7th it NEEDS to be destroyed by a card effect to get it's "Heavy Storm" effect. But other than that, it's an okay card... anyone want to trade...?

The 2 Controllers add a lot to my Meta. If played correctly, It can have the same effects as a well placed Dark Hole (Not really though, but I'm saying it for effect). Anyway, here it goes...

You atk. with a monster> opponent chains Scapegoats> you chain with Controller. Activate 1st effect and atk. a ak. position goat.

Opponent atk. with a monster> chain Controller to shift that monster to defense

Activate Controller 2nd effect, tribute a goat/Sinister/Sangan/face up MofF to get their monster> Atk.-Tribute-Morph

And that's just to name a few...

good deck i like the flow i was 5-4 at the anaheim regionals. its all because of creature swap and not having the enemy controller, not because creature swap doesn't have a cool effect i just always got it at the wrong time. but your deck looks like it could handle a lot of various decks which is very good.

I hope to be judging that Regional, nothing is set in stone as of yet.

As for the Chaos Deck. Well... It looks like every Chaos deck there, give or take a card or amount of Scapegoats. They all look the same and I cant rate or fix it because of that, so if you make one, the chance is that it will be the same as the other hundred or so that will be in play at Long beach. I guess it is too late to preach about doing something unique deck wise with the time you have before competing but I doubt you will listen. I wish you the best of luck at Long Beach and Hopefully I will see you there…

Side Note
"Tribute 2 monsters on your side of the field, including this card" means that you Tribute "Hand of Nephthys" plus 1 additional monster.

I know, none the less It's still 2 monster cards (token or not, your opponet's monster card on yourside due to one of your card effect) Still 2 CARDS. Thanks but I do have O.G. decks, i.e. MK-3.

Ok I am not here to defend the honor of the pheonix in any way. I am just going to say that if you ran a peonix deck then you ran it wrong. pheonix is the easiest monster to obtain on your side of the field. and it comes back if you destroy it yourself. if they BTH your pheonix torrential the field. book of moon him. ring of destruction him. do anything to destroy him. also I know what you are thinking. (But if I dont have the cards I cannot activate them) true and this is why you played the deck wrong. first off pheonix and metamorphisis in the same deck is just asking for a horrible top deck. second off. you also ran bls. I am sorry but you combined the wrong themes. you should have changed the metamorph into zombie and ran what works.


Ok anyways lets look at your deck. first your traps are going to hurt you. sakaretsu armor is a horrible card to run. try running another BTH over it. it works better. plus as you mentioned before it gets rid of the pheonix. next there is no replacing mst. period. dust tornado is not a good card. it is too slow. remove it for a smashing grounds or another scapegoat.

now we look at your spell cards. metamorphisis is what stands out here. I know that you like to metamorph your thousand eyes out but really metamorph doesnt do to well in ones. it either needs to be two or none.

then we look at your monsters really there is no need to change them but maybe add one more. If you remove the metamorph replace it with a don zaloog. that card is great when the opponent is at a bad time with a low hand. could put them into topdeck situation right away. anyways it is your call.

Well thanks for your constrictive criticism, but I'm refering to Phoenix within the context of MY deck, and not Phoenix in genral. Granted It's a great card if it's tha MAIN theme of a deck and NOT what I was trying to do by CRAMING it within my Chaos deck... A lesson learned from playing with the deck, as well of the great advice I got from members in the Deck Depot forum. None the less, thanks for your line.
