ok, so TLM is officially released in the US tomorrow, and willb e nationally distributed in a week ro so, just the PERFECT time to start a rock thread!
so c'mon, how to make a rock deck? do we use the masterful Monks, the uber-powerfulish Megarock Dragon, the versetile Gigantes, the oh so rentsy Legendary Jujitsu Master...or... maybe deck-out with the sueprversetile draw Jars? please, elt's discuss!
If I were making a Rock deck, then I would definatly want to include Mine Golems. 1900 wall that deals damage when it dies in battle. Lovely. That can be later used as Megarock food. Dimension Fusion can be comboed with Megarock to bring back all those Rock monsters you removed for lots of damage. Lots of fun and cooky ideas to be used with Rock decks.
I hope this helps a bit...Simon has pointed out almost all the info you need for the upcoming Rock type cards.

Lost Guardian
Earth/Rock/4/100/?
This card's original defense strength is equal to number of Rock sub-type monsters
that you remove from game * 700.
This one is an interesting card, for me personally lol. This one is the sort of "Opposite" to Megarock Dragon. A decent wall if you can remove enough cards from the game. But, there are already rock type monster's who have a decent enough defense, so this card really isn't necessary. unless you WANT cards removed from game...
TLM-JP012
Hieracosphinx
Earth/Rock/6/2400/1200
When this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot choose monsters on your field
that are in face-down defense mode as target of battle.
Super Rare/Ultimate Rare
Ah, now THIS is probably the most abusable rock monster outside of rock decks. As long as it is face up, no other Face Down monster can be targeted by battle, witch means all those little flippers just got a mighty big wall lol. One tribute, and a decent attack means that it is going to take somthing a little bigger to send this guy to the grave, it is a nice emergency stall tactic. Outside of rock decks though, is where this "little" guy could shine, but, this is not a flip tactics thread now is it ^_^.
TLM-JP013
Criosphinx
Earth/Rock/6/1200/2400
When this card is face up on the field, whenever a monster card is sent from the field to owner's
hand, the owner of that monster must choose one card from his/her hand and discard it.
Rare
Now, this is one of those cards that just makes me say "Huh"?. Okay, it has a decent defense, and a decent effect...IF it did not say that it has to be face up. Which means you actually have to have it either involed in battle, or summoned in Face Up attack. And why would you do that lol.
TLM-JP014
Moai Reflect Cannon
Earth/Rock/4/1100/2000
This card can change to face-down defense mode once per turn.
TLM-JP015
Megarock Dragon
Earth/Rock/7/?/?
This card cannot be Normal Summoned. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing
Rock sub-type monsters from your Graveyard from play. This card's attack and defense strength
is equal to 700 times the number of monsters you remove this way.
Super/Ultimate Rare
Yummy, now THIS is a card I am eagerly awaiting. For one, check out it's art...find it...SOMEWHERE. This is the most vissually appealing monster since good old Mirage Dragon back in RDS. When you look at it, you KNOW somthing is going to die lol. As for his effect, yes, he cannot be Normal Summoned OR Special Summoned, so no Monster Gate ect. ect. However, by just removing Three Monster's, he is a 2400 attack. One more, and he's a 3100. Basically, he is a GAME ENDER. You WANT to top-deck him late in the game. However, when he is in your hand early on, it will be quite hard to get him out of there lol.
TLM-JP016
Dummy Golem
Earth/Rock/2/800/800
Reverse: Choose a monster on opponent's field. Switch the control of this card and the chosen
monster.
Now this guy is a little curious to me. For one, he has Invader of the Throne Room's effect only, he can use his effect during the battle phase. It's an interesting little trade off, if your opponent has an Interesting monster....
TLM-JP017
Grave Oyja
Earth/Rock/4/1600/1500
When there's a monster on your field in face-down defense mode, this card cannot be target of
battle. Whenever a monster on your field are successfully Reverse Summon, do 300 lifepoint
damages to opponent.
Rare
Hmm, this one I kinda like, because it can be comboed with H Sphinx and another F/D Monster. It's a very slight burn, but I like his Not being able to be targeted effect while F/D effect. It gives you a mediocre attacker in that F/D Monster is Guardian Sphinx ^_^.
TLM-JP018
Mine Golem
Earth/Rock/3/1000/1900
When this card is sent to Graveyard from the field as a result of battle, do 500 damages
to opponent's lifepoints.
Ah, another interesting card, not exactly a great effect, but it does have it's own trap card, which I will point out later ^_^.
TLM-JP019
Monk Fighter
Earth/Rock/3/1300/1000
The Battle Damages to this card's controller due to this card as a result of battle
would become 0.
Ah YEs, the Monk fighter's. Solo Warriors who love to duke it out on the battle field. Big surprise though, seeing as they are NOT Warrios, they are rocks. Oh Well, Warriors didn't need em anyway ^_^. This version of the Monk Fighter is basically America's Amazoness Fighter, however, I do not believe that this 1300 is a mistake, so YEs, you CAN use Heart of clear water with him lol. Nothing special...untill you look at his support....
TLM-JP020
Master Monk
Earth/Rock/5/1900/1000
This card cannot be Normal Summon. This card can only be special summon by sacrificing
a [Monk Fighter] on your field. This card can attack two times during a turn.
Super Rare/Ultimate Rare
Ah yes, another Nomi-Monster...or, "Shiny" As Mr. C likes to put it. He can only be special summoned by sacraficing his "younger" form. And the trade off? Well, he is bigger, at a 1900 attack, an he can attack twice, making him the biggest "Two Attack's without conditions" Monster in the game. However, at 1900, with all of those gorilla's running around, it dosen't look like he will be sticking around very long....well, not without help lol.
TLM-JP021
Guardian Statue
Earth/Rock/4/800/1400
This card can change to face-down defense mode once per turn. When this card is successfully
Reverse Summon, return a monster card on opponent's field to owner's hand.
Basically, a mini Non Tribute Guardian Sphinx. A solid bonce monster....
TLM-JP022
Medusa Worm
Earth/Rock/2/500/600
This card can change to face-down defense mode once per turn. When this card is successfully
Reverse Summon, destroy a monster on opponent's field.
Basically, Man Eater Bug on Steriods lol. With some protection, I can see this little worm reeking quite a bit of havok....
Rock Support
TLM-JP051
Rock Explosion
Trap - Normal
For each [Mine Golem] on your field, do 1000 damages to opponent's lifepoints. Destroy all
face-up [Mine Golem] on your field afterward.
Mine Golems support card. a pretty big burn if you can somehow get three on the field(Last Will, ect.) However, it is only a one time use lol. However, this CAN be a 1-turn kill, but I can see that happening...lemme see......NEVER lol.But. If you want to build a dedicated Min Golem Burn deck though, go right ahead ^_^.
TLM-JP055
Rock Throwing Attack
Trap - Normal
Put a Rock sub-type monsters from your deck to Graveyard, do 500 damages to your opponent.
Shuffle your deck afterward.
Man I wish this were continuous ^_^. Decent Burn, with a "Throw to the Graveyard" effect. Handy if you are trying to thin your deck, also handy for getting out fuel for that MegaRock Dragon......
TLM-JP060
Arrogant Wrestler
Trap - Continuous
This card can only be activate if there's only one of either [Nezumi Fighter - Chucoo], [Monk
Fighter], or [Master Monk] on your field. That monster would not be destroy as a result of
battle, or it would be affect by the effect of opponent's monsters.
Ah Yes, the Monk support. All of these card's revolve around the Monk standing alone on your side of the field. This little dohicky provides a number of uses.
1. No BLS Removal
2. No Chaos Sorcerer Removal
3. No Tribe
4. No D.D. Warrior Lady
5. No Cyber Jar
6. No Exiled Forces
And so on and so forth....
Also, It cannot be destroyed as a result of battle, for The little monk, it means that You have a Semi-Permanant Wall. Not too shabby...
TLM-JP045
Legendary Black Belt
Magic - Equipment
This card can only be equipped on either a [Fighter Nezumi Chucoo], [Monk Fighter], or [Master Monk].
When the equipped monster destroy an opponent's monster as a result of battle and sent it to
Graveyard, do damages to opponent's lifepoints equal to the defense strength of that monster.
Rare
The next Card in the Monk Support, this one also has an interesting effect. Any Monster that it destroyes, you do damage equal to it's defense to your opponent. It is an interesting effect, however, don't expect to capitalize on it...
TLM-JP042
God Hand Smash
Magic - Normal
This card can only be activate when you have a face-up 1 of [Fighting Nezumi - Chucho], [Monk
Fighter], or [Master Monk] on your field. During this turn, all monsters that have battle
with any of the above monsters would be destroy at Damage Step.
xAh Yes, Master Monk's Signature Card.....Basically, any monster that it battles, dies. Goes hand in hand with Master Monk's Double attack ability....
Well, that's all the thinking I can do for now lol...
yes i think with TLM i think rocks will be much much bigger than e-heros at least until cyber revolution comes out, and i cant wait to see what people make with it, especialy w/ deminsion fusion and remove from game effects, along with mass flipping effects
