I am completely lost and have no idea what I have gone and done. I played magic about 8 years ago and have not played a card game since. Could some one help me? I bought Yugi evolution starter deck, and about 5 packs of Soul of the duelist booster packs and one exclusive pack. Then I bought a exodia 5-card something off e-bay. so now what do I do?

I would go and post your cards on the deck depot and let people help you out with building a deck. If you need help PM me or just post here.

If you want to play you duel of course. =)

Ugh... in hindsight, don't listen to me. This is what EVERYONE will tell you to run. It's evil. Ruins the game.

Those cards you bought aren't really consistent. The best way to build a deck is by focusing on a certain stategy. However, whatever you do, do not join the "dark side"(the side where people only use control-type decks with Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning in them).

A better start would have been to buy a structure deck and a few packs. Structure decks are different from starter decks. They're more focused, are easier to play with, are very strong right out of the box, uses a lot of rare cards from boosters, and are only 40 cards, which makes the deck flow better. The current structures are:
Water
Fire
Dragon
Zombie

Personally, I like the Zombie one, but they're all good. Also, please read the rules and check out ude.com/yugioh/ for news on restricted/banned lists.
