idk is it i was just wondering that i mean i know that don has a couple of advantages decayed doesnt like hes a warrior and he has another effect in case the opponent doesnt have a hand. BUT... commander does have a few of its own good points such as its a zombie which can get revived by book of life and in case your running a reaper or two you can also use it on him plus you get to remove a card from the others grave.. but lets stick to the actual card it has 100 more attack points and either way the opponent is still gonna be drawing right? so yeah idk i was just wondering which is better or if theyre equal really anything you guys can add to this would be great oh and im not running a zombie based deck but can you really still run a hand control deck with commander isntead of don and still have it just as competitive?

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this card on the field, you can equip it to your "Decayed Commander" as an Equip Card, OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by this card's effect, increase the ATK/DEF of the equipped monster by 500 points, and each time it destroys 1 of your opponent's monsters, your opponent discards 1 card randomly from his/her hand. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster is destroyed as a result of battle, destroy this card instead.)

Decayed Commander has to attack directly to get its effect...and even if equipped with Zombie Tiger, it's only 1500/2000 just for 2 mons....

And even with Tiger attached to it, it either has to...

1. Destroy a monster in battle to make the oppoent discard

2. Attack directly to make the opponent discard.


Don Zaloog just has to do any sort of LP damage to make opponent discard or send from the top of their deck and is 1400/1500 all by itself whereas Decayed Commander requires Zombie Tiger to work at its best and is only 1500/2000 while requiring you to do 2 different things to make the opponent just discard. The only real hope you have of pulling off Zombie Tiger's union effect is if the opponent uses Scapegoat or Tokens or something...

Don is definately better, but I think Decayed Commander is better than he gets credit for. Most Zombie decks run Giant Rat in addition to Pyramid Turtle. That doubles the Commander's searchability. I guess what hurts his playability the most is the fact that Spirit Reaper is better than both him and Don, and Reaper is a Zombie as well.

well,decayed commander is better than i gave him credit for but Don is better for obvious reasons:

1:warrior(and all of the support that goes with them(which is A LOT),warriors may possibly be the most versitile type in the game.This one reason should be enough to say DonnyZ is better)
2:2 effects

i'm sure there are better reasons than these 2,but it's getting sort of late and i'm too tired to think about them.lol
