I'm a Marvel zombie through and through...delving only into DC when Batman is involved.

But...

I'm now hooked on the JLA cartoon. Last night's AMAZO episode showcased how truly cool Superman/Bats are.

Anybody else watching this? Is THAT what Amazo looked like when he first appeared? Cause it's nothing like his clix version.

I was totally blown away by that amazo episode, it rocked incredibly hard. In the comics, Amazo looks like his click, but he retains the same characterization, being that he is an android. In the comic, Amazo had the power to copy all of the JLA's powers, and he was defeated only when they "broke up" the JLA so suddenly Amazo was powerless. I liked how they defeated him in the cartoon much more. There were so many great surprise moments in the cartoon, like when Flash knocked on the door only to have it explode in his face, when Amazo adapted to the kryptonite, and when Hawkgirl asked Batman why he always has kryptonite with him. I was so-so about this cartoon first season, but now I'm going to make sure I watch it every week!

Yeah...the episode was great. My wife called the 'defeat of Amazo' about 10 minutes into the second episode.

The action and intensity of series has easily doubled from last season.

My wife and were almost on our feet when Luthor took Amazo's head off...

oh #### thats right, i gasped and stared in disbelief that they would show such violence on a cartoon, even though it was a robot... then his head grew back.. SIGH.... that would have been a great anti-climactic ending to the show if he just dropped right there

I loved it last night. That's what comics should be about. Of course am an old school purist.

I was very happy with last night's JLA!!! Cool story. However, the ending kinda let me down. Overall I thought it was awesome!

I watched it last season on cartoon network, but I can't seem to find it now. Where and when is it?

I can't wait for the episode when Wonder Woman and Aquaman throw down. If you've been watching the teasers carefully you see Diana knocking Arthur's block off.

The episode with AMAZO was great. I simply love this cartoon. There is only one thing that gravels my buns though - the way they treat the Martian Manhunter.

This guy gets his clock cleaned every stinkin' week. He gets one or two good punches or saves in and then is taken out of action for the rest of the episode. This guy has powers pretty comparable to Supes for cripes sake!!!! I've only seen him kick butt one time, and that was when his martian bad guys came to earth and tried to take it over. Since then, every epsidoe has been the same: punch, crash, *tickle* *tickle*, and AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH - the Manhunter is down again. Come on people!!! Give this dude the respect he deserves!!!

Yeah...MM is the red headed step child of the JLA. But I suppose if anybody is going to take a beating...it should be the green alien, right?

My wife and I watch this show regularly with our 2 year old son. And the amount of whooping MM endures is always a topic. Can we even call him a super hero? He's like the "Robin" of the JLA...either a hostage or a victim or a whipping boy meant to get the good guys into action.

We figured once Amazo copied his powers...the JLA would win since MM is so easy to beat up. Ninny.

I just got finished watching the episode, and I must say that I thouroughly enjoyed it!

While I wish Amazo would have looked somewhat more like his comic counterpart, the way he was played on the 'toon was very awesome. The Kryponite thing I kinda saw coming, but Batman's reply to Hawkgirl's question blew me away!

I almost saw the ending coming.

I thought for sure that Amazo would copy Martian Manhunter's abilities, then freak out when all the voices hit him at one time.

I loved the guest starring Mercy. That was too good. The explosion left my mouth wide open. That was very graphic, but they've done worse on the show (anyone remember Manhunter transporting that Manhunter robot's brain out?) .

As for the Manhunter himself, I think they portray him pretty darn well. He's more of a fighter on the back burner that is tough when he needs to be. Let's face it, he's the team's sensitive member, being an alien an all. (although 2 of the other members are as well).

The Diana/Aquaman fight looks like a slobberknocker (sorry, JR)! Anyone else notice that it takes place on Easter Island? Or the other commerical bumper with Diana fighting Dr. Fate? Or the one with Diana and Hawkgirl trapped by some monster, and Wonder Woman says "Give me strength, Hera?" and Hawkgirl say, "Do you ALWAYS have to say that?"?

What about the commericals showing Firefly and Volcana? Anyone else thinking an episode is gonna take place in Gotham City?

I watched the AMAZO episode, too - cought it about 10 minutes in and missed the fact that it was Amazo. I'm siting there thinking, "This guy is a lot like Amazo until Flash, Supes and GL found the blueprints after Luthor's hideout exploded.

Which brings me to a question - when the above mentioned trio found Amazo's blue print, his name was an acronym - (think that's the right word - sorry if I'm an idiot) like A.M.A.Z.O. Can anyone tell me what those initials stand for? I don't have the comix he appeared in...

I like how Supes isn't so weak like in previous seasons. The Flash is actually kind of fast now, remember when he when he was chasing an armored car and could barely keep up with it. And this episode actually had the whole team on it. Usually there is about 2 missing.
