Why isn't this run? I just realized how amazing this draw engine would be.

Because you dont draw anything...

Card of Safe Return
When a monster is Special Summoned to the field from your Graveyard, you can draw 1 card from your Deck

That's why. Scout Planes come back from the RFG pile, not the graveyard.

Nice try Zaq :) Dont give up on them though. I assure you there are great combos with both of them just seperatly.

I don't like the planes, they just came to mind when looking at Absorption Mill and a Strike Ninja deck. Card of Safe Return, however, belongs in a DW deck >.>

DW monsters do hit the graveyard before they get special summoned.

That will only work if DW's are discarded by your own effect, which will make it less abusable.

Yeah...cause if they get discarded by the opponent's effect, then it will cause Card of Safe Return to miss the timing for its activation.
