thoes are really where he shines best, but hey if you can use him to your advantage in anyother deck, use it. I mean techinaclly he is a netrual from the time of summon and most likley will be atleast a +1 for some of you card advantage freaks. also you can rftdd him and get an extra spell. very fun card indeed.
yeah, its pretty good...it also works well in a Jowgen Last Turn Deck because of all the magics in the deck. And in the traditional format with scientist/turtle OTK it rocked also. Just my 2 cents.
Actually, I don't see DMoC working in a Spellcaster deck at all. You can't Magician's Circle him, and Magical Dimensioning him would be pointless. I guess he could work in Dark Magician, but only if you run Dedication, and that is kind of risky.
He works best in OTK decks that speed mill their decks with Reasonings, Monster Gates, etc. Also, I never thought about this before, but he might work ok in some kind of Soul Control build.
dmoc works just fine in a spellcaster deck sure he can't be used with the circle but there are alot of cards that can't and as for magical dimension it depends on the situation you just need to remember that it is possible to miss his timing (ie- if you choose to destroy a monster with the dimensions effect) so you need to watch how you use him .
plus a 2800 attk monster is nothing to sneer at not very many monsters in use that can go toe to toe with him
Dark Magician
Spellcaster
Beatdown
Removed From Play/D. D.
...is pretty much all I use it in. Like many cards, people FINALLY saw the limits it had and don't try to splash it into tons of decks anymore like they used to.

Since when does that mean anything?? I could care less how strong it is when I nuke it with a Smashing Ground and hit with Reaper.
Spellcasters can't just be thrown into a Spellcaster deck, they must be built around something, Circle being a perfect starting place. Using ones that can't be searched in basically pointless.
lol Circle Toolbox. Sounds interesting, what monsters works best with it? also, what do you guys think of the Silent Magicians? they seems to be realyl good.
Silent Magician LV4 and LV8 aren't entirely that great.
With the lack of draw power, Silent Magician LV4 requires you to make the opponent draw, which would require its own deck and Silent Magician LV8 is mainly good because of people's "lucky" use of Level Up! (always happens to be there right when they need it in text duels...hmmm...<< >>) and 3500 ATK is also the primary reason. Effect-wise, Silent Swordsman LV5 does the same thing.

I've always liked the idea of Circle Toolbox, but I haven't gotten around to testing it yet. I would basically try to abuse White Magical Hats, Masked Sorcerer, and Kycoo. Both Magician's Circle and Dimension Magic create nice timing situations for these cards. Example, my monster attacks your monster, you Saku, I chain Dimension Magic, bring out White Magical Hats, destroy your monster, attack, chain Circle, bring out Masked Sorcerer. Of course that the situational ideal, but you get the picture.
Also, I like the Silent Magicians, because it only takes one "evolution" to get to the highest stage. Granted, the special summoning requirement is near-impossible, but that's why we have Level Up.

Hmm, throw in a Infernal Reckless Summoning into the mix, and massive discard/drawing in one turn.
I really like the Silent lv 4 cuz of level up. In my meta wheres D.D assailant doesnt exist, makes Silent Lv 8 quite a threat. Also, the 3500 makes him solid with Decree out.
