So can you return this card back to your hand regardless of where it is, or does it have to be on the field, like with the Spirit ruling? I looked on UD's website for clarification, and they didn't have anything. Just wondering - Thanks.

That effect only applies if the monster is on the FIELD at the end of your turn.

No...that's why it helps to remember simple and basic game mechanics instead of JUST reading effects...just cause it does not specifically mention something does not mean you automatically can/can't do anything.

Just because The Wicked Worm Beast does NOT specifically say "from the field to your hand", it does not mean that it can return from anywhere.

Basic Game Mechanics show that Continuous Monster Effects like this are ONLY active while the monster itself is face-up on the field.

This is why a face-down Mataza the Zapper can have its control switched or why a face-down Horus LV6 can be affected by Magic Cards.
