I was dueling some friends at a tournament and i overhear two kids arguing over chaos sorcerer. "you cant bring him back from the graveyard with call or premature" i was like did he summon by his affect by removing 1 light and 1 dark from the grave and he said yes. But other people said you cannot bring him back from the grave even if you properly summoned him i just wanted to see if i could clear this up for him. He just goes on that he can only be special summoned by that affect.
Chaos Sorcerer doesn't contain the word "except" anywhere in its card text. Thus, you can bring him back with Call of the Haunted or Premature Burial if the copy of Chaos Sorcerer was properally summoned the first time.
What was said before is true as long as no other crazy stuff happens such as the Chaos Sorceror returning to your hand from the grave and then going back to the grave from hand or in a similar situation with the deck.
1. Yes, you can revive it with Premature Burial or Call of the Haunted or something if it was properly Special Summoned from your hand and sent from the field to the Graveyard or removed from play area.
2. You can only perform its Special Summon during your turn during Main Phase 1 or 2
3. Yes, you can flip it face-down with Book of Moon or Tsukuyomi and flip summon it again (as long as it's not the same turn you Special Summoned it and its position wasn't manually changed already) and reuse its effect again
4. No, you cannot use its effect during Main Phase 2
5. If it declares an attack and that attack gets negated, you cannot use its effect during main phase 2.
6. No, you cannot remove a Light and Dark to Special Summon it from your Deck or Graveyard or Removed from Play area
Meh, just felt that there would be more questions on the way, so I decided to fill in most of the blanks there...
