Search function crapped out on me on "XYZ."

OK, here's the question. Can the NEW print of XYZ be brought back from "removed from play?" Here's what makes me think the answer is yes:

The OLD print of XYZ states "This card can only be special summoned by removing from play the above monsters on your side of the field." Smiple. Only by those methods.

VW and VWXYZ state "This card can only be special summoned FROM THE FUSION DECK by removing from play the above monsters on your side of the field." OK, so this one can be reborn AND brought back from the removed from play deck.

The NEW print of XYZ (Duelist Pack version) is worded EXACTLY like VW and VWXYZ, but adds the phrase "This card can not be special summoned from the graveyard." So, since it is worded like VW and VWXYZ, with the stipulation that it CAN'T be summoned from the graveyard, does this mean that it CAN be brought back from removed from play? And, if so, can only NEW PRINTS do this? Not the old ones? If you have one old and one new in your deck, can you only bring back the new one from removed from play?

Yes they can... they made the correction to fit OCG's rulings.

But you CAN'T do that with the "old" versions, correct?

What do you mean??? If a card gets errated, then regardless of the card being old or new, rulings apply to all of them...

all copies function according to the most recent text/rulings.

cards do not get separate rulings for separate printings, otherwise the errata's would be useless.

Yes, now they can be Special Summoned from the Removed from Play area...these sorts of things I wish UDE would get correct the first time around...first they said you could...then errata's and such said you couldn't...and now you, in conclusion, can...

i always said that the xyz's weren't nomi, they just acted that way since they couldn't be "properly summoned"

although i guess konami decided that it made them too unplayable and gave them some leeway. xyz stuff can be summoned from the rfg pile and the vw stuff can be summoned from the rfg and the graveyard. assuming of course that they were summoned by their text "properly" first. and they didn't go straight from the fusion deck to the grave/rfg by an effect like "success probability 0%"

OK, so all versions can be brought back from the RFG pile. And I didn't even think about Success Probability 0%. No coming back for those. Great, thanks for the help, guys. I can now use them correctly.
