I seen many of these threads. And i have commented in some of them, mostly bad comments however. I decided that its not really fair if i just go flaming stuff without trying it out mightself so i decided i might as well try it out.

The card i want to talk about is My Body as A Shield.

I have been using this card in my deck. However, before i get ahead of myself lets look at the effect.

My Body as A Shield
When your opponent activates a card that has the effect that destroys 1 or more monsters on the field, pay 1500 Life Points to negate the activation of the card and destroy it.

Nifty eh? This card can negate pretty much every kind of removal there is in today's meta! With the exception of Chaos Sorcerer, your opponent removal is useless. Nobleman of Crossout? Smashing Ground? Sakurtesu Armor? Mirror Force? Exiled Force? Bottomless Trap hole? Can you alll say NEGATED!. The beauty of it is that it is quick-play. So feel free to over extend. If they spring Torrential, you use My body as A Shield( MBaAS) and you smack em.

It can be used in the defence too. Afraid of your Magician of Faith will get Nobleman? Set MBaAs, and watch them play Nobleman of Crossout and fail. Heck, you could even use it on their Mystic Swordsman LV 2/4 (Assuming they attack a face-down).

It worked great for me, you guys should give it a try. Don't be afraid of the Life-point usage, its versatile-ness is that to compare of Solemn Judgment!

I prefer Solemn Judgement to MBaAS. It is way more versitile than it. Don't want your opponent playing Graceful or Gravity Bind? INSTANT negation and destruction.

jack: it all depends really. Solemn has perhaps more wide range of option however, MBaAS has the ability to be used the moment you draw it. Takes an extra turn to set Solemn Judgment so you wont be able to use it the first turn you draw it( for example for over extending or simply for summoning incase of any holes). Also, Solemn Judgment is a trap, which wit hjust one Jinzo its negated (sure you could Negate jinzo summoning but that would negate the whol epurpose of running the card). Nontheless, Solemn Judgment offers more variety, its all a Speed Vs Options.

My current stall deck runs three solomn judgements and a single MBaaS. I even call it Mbas when I use it. Heck, I need it when gear golem, and not big shield is the one that gets crossed out.

I think the idea wasn't that this card can be the new big negator but would destroy alot of the meta and staple cards we use and this actual discussion has made me think about throwing in one....

Believe it or not, quite a few people do use My Body as a Shield already in their decks..

I'd like to add something to this. Not only does MBaaS not have to first be set (like Solemn Judgment) allowing you to play it the turn you draw it, but it doesn't have to EVER be set. With the exchange of Dark Hole for Mirror Force, most of my opponent's mass removal with occur during my turn. This means if I draw it, but don't need it yet, I can hold it until they play that Mirror Force. I don't have to set it and risk getting -1ed by Heavy Storm. On the other hand, if you are setting a valuable monster, and NoC would hurt badly, the option to set it is still available.
