If you can get Dimensional Fissure of Macrocosmo onto the field. D.D. Survivor can be tributed for bigger monsters or even used to attack. It won't be affected by Bottomless, Sak Armor, WideSpread, Mirror Force because it'll just come back.
Totally Abusable? Yes. The new Treeborn? Heck no. This combo is good and all, but with most people running either 2-3 dust tornados and double mobius, Macrocosmo won't last that long on the field.
But the fact that you have to have this grand setup is a restriction in of itself. Sure, it's basically a tribute engine that works wonders when pulled off, but it is relatively hard to pull off all the time.
What's so hard when 9 cards out of the deck can be used in the combo. Treeborn frog has restictions like no M/t, the limit of the card itself, and not of any use when removed from play.
An ALO deck has only 3 Legendary Oceans yet its always pulled off...
Well, in my experience, not all the cards come at once. And if it does, then for some reason, the Monarchs don't come as continuously as I'd want to abuse the reoccurring DD Survivor. And let's not forget the opportunities to draw the same cards when they are not needed. I never added 3 copies of all those cards in my deck, but it were done, that's also a possibility.
Then again, we're allowed 3 Macrocosmos and 3 Dimensional Fissures....
We are also allowed 3 Trunades, 3 Tornados, 1 MST, 1 Heavy Storm, 1 Breaker, 3 Skill Drain, 1 Jinzo, 3 Royal Commands: Most of which you WILL see in any deck or sidedeck combined.

Good luck.
Pretty much. With all the removal that we have today (and temporary removal like Trunades) it's very easy to get your combo killed, and then if it was running nicely before your opponent killed it, you might have a hand full of useless monarchs.
Only if Macro Cosmos ends up actually being a very feared Deck in big tournaments....until then, it probably won't be seen all that much except for the Macro Cosmos Decks themselves...
Which I think it will. Just give it time. And outside Macro Cosmos, DD Survivor will still see play. Return from the DD decks and some Strike Ninja can still use him. No need for Macro Cosmos to make this a good card.
But then again, a Macro Cosmos deck is just another version of a Return from the DD deck (probably even less effective since the opponents monster will be removed, only for them to return via Return from the DD, or more effective since the likes of Sangan won't go to the Grave). So I doubt this may change the meta too much.
