Ok. I have a face up Sangan on the field and a face down Torrential Tribute. My opponent summons Chaos Sorcerer "with priority" to remove Sangan. I activate Torrential Tribute in response to Chaos Sorcerer's summoning. Does Sangan get removed or not? Does anyone know the "correct" ruling in this situation.
Next one. I have a face down Torrential Tribute on the field and my opponent has a face down Bottomless Trap Hole. I summon Pheonix of Nephthys to the field and my opponent activates Bottomless Trap Hole in response to the summoning. Can I activate Torrential Tribute in response to the summoning of Pheonix myself to save her from being removed?
In both cases, Torrential resovles first destroying all monsters on the field. Chaos Sorcerer and/or Bottomless Trap Hole will resolves without effect (aka fizzle as some people call it).
But still...does chaos sorcer removes a monster before the BTH or Torrential happens???? They use the same crap for Exiled force and Trap Hole! If my opponent says he summons Exiled force, and then he "decides" to attack, because he is the turn player...one cannot go and say :"hey but I´m activating trap hole to your summoning!" then of course, he´ll choose to activate exiled! It´s broken in this sense!

If you are playing someone like that, then you need to stop and slow down the play. if this is a sanctioned tournament, then feel free to ask the judge to step in and monitor while play is rewound.
It sounds like the opponent was trying to take advantage of rushed (and sloppy) play. They gave no indication of wanting to claim priority, since they wanted to enter the battle Phase and attack.
I would be harsh and say that the play rewinds to the point where the turn player has summoned and passed priority to the non turn player to respond.
Never just let your opponent know, though, that you wanted to activate an effect like Trap Hole. Of course they will want to use their priority then. Simply tell them that they cannot attack in the Main Phase 1, and ask them if they wish to use their priority for Exiled's effect.
Of course the thing is, you can't get jumpy. If you even hint at flipping a facedown s/t card up, they will claim priority automatically.
Again, let me re-iterate what deck wraith was pointing to and beg you to read the link that is provided. its not a similar situation, its the exact same question, by the exact same person (Lokius). Pay close attention to reply #3, by Kenjiblade, as that should explain it all. Here is the link again http://www.yugiohrealms.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=454298
