If the title dosn't make since, let me make it a bit clearer. Since Macro Cosmos is pretty much the flavor of the month card wise, I like to speak of a very fun combo that would drive the average cookie cutter deck nuts.

After Genocide/After The Struggle
Normal Spell
This card can only be activated during Main Phase 1. All monsters on both sides of the field that have been involved in damage calculation are destroyed during the End Step of the turn.

Macro Cosmos
Continuous Trap
You can Special Summon 1 "Helios - The Primordial Sun" from your hand or Deck. While this card is on the field, any card sent to the Graveyard is removed from play instead.

Now think of it the combo of these cards is quite tempting to play weither your using D.D. Scout Planes or D.D. Survivors, that means big time death for many Cyber Dragons and Monarchs. I'm not sure on how fast you could pull the combo off but it sure is a blast wondering what both cards can do together given the chance when used with both D.D. monsters. Allow me to demonstrate a concept decklist for such a deck ^_^.

Well this is a very tempting deck for me to play but I'm stuck with my Macroburner, but fell free to try your on flavor of Macro Control, heck this deck could even be converted into Dimensional Control if you changed Macro Cosmos to Dimensional Fissure. The possiblities are virtually endless ^_^. Well I hope yall like my ideas.

Well, the problem with this concept is Life Point management. If you smack a D.D. Plane into a Cyber Dragon, you're going to lose ALOT of lifepoints. Even if you hit a C. Dragon with a Survivor, eventually the damage will buildup. Some LP Protection cards would be good(which were mentioned in your thread in deck depot).

And, as said many times before, Life Points are not NEARLY as important these days as they were in the past...the only time you'd have to worry about taking such damage is if you were against a Burn Deck. Then you'd have to be more careful.

With Macro Cosmos (or Dimensional Fissure) active, Scout Planes and Survivors are already invincible. Instead of wasting your effort trying to do some situational combo, you're better off using Grand Convergence.

Grand Convergence + Macro IS a situational combo.

I know it's situational in some ways, but it can be quite fun playing this paticular deck, and sometimes you may not want to blow all of your own monsters skyhigh with Grand Convergence, After Genocide can help you be alittle more selective in what you want to remove from the game with a meager cost of lifepoints. Even without Macro Cosmos on the field, After Genocide can be quite useful in other situations while you're waiting on Macro Cosmos ^_^. I thought this might be a fun idea to try out if you don't want to go with the mainstream and still have a strong Macro Control deck.

That's just 2 cards. Macro Cosmos + Scout Plane/Survivor + After the Struggle = More situational. Make the comparison dude.

I can't argue with that, but it doesn't change the fact that Grand Convergence is still situational. Neither one should be run.

I never said Grand Convergence isn't situational at all. Don't put words into my mouth please. I once commented on Pojo that with 3x Macro Cosmos, the max amount of Grand Convergence you should run is ONE.

If you're now claiming that Grand Convergence IS in fact situational, why did you suggest it after recommending that he not waste his time with situational combos? By recommending it after suggesting he avoid situational combos, you imply that your suggestion is NOT situational, otherwise you contradict the advice you just gave.

Its an over-hyped card. Its worthless in the long run. Can anyone think of more creative ways to use the damn card that doesnt involve Survivor? Lame ..
