At a local tourney last week, I had Invader of Darknes out and my opponent activated Limiter removal during his turn. Is he able to do this? He said that he is, and the judge sided with him, I am just wondering.

..............your opponent AND that judge are, quite frankly, either the most idiotic people I've heard of or are, at the very least, the most illiterate...
Invader of Darkness
Dark/Fiend/8/2900/2500
While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot activate Quick-Play Spell Cards.
....as the text clearly states...as long as it's face-up (assuming there's no Skill Drain active)...your opponent cannot, under ANY circumstances, activate any Quickplay Magic Cards...and, no, Invader of Darkness does not "negate" one's already used in a chain (like if you chained Call of the Haunted to Mystical Space Typhoon. Invader of Darkness could not stop it from resolving since Mystical Space Typhoon was already activated before it was face-up on the field)
So, for your opponent to say that they could use it AND that "judge" agreeing...oy...
Well, he may have summoned it, and his opponent chained to the summoning. Thats legal, right? Wait ... no its not. Isnt it essentially like the whole Jinzo thing?
Call of the Haunted, A Hero Emerges, Ultimate Offerings during the opponent's Battle Phase...; there are various ways to have summoned any monster during an opponent's turn.
However, unless IoD was summoned via an effect that was chained to Limiter Removal's activation, there is no legal way that the opposing player could activate a Quickplay.
btw, zoa. No one can chain to a summon itself. only respond. ;)
if the example is taken at face value: that a face up, fully summoned and active IoD was on the field, and later the opponent was allowed to activate Limiter, then....
As a new member, you should take the time to read over the Rules of Posting and the entire forum in general so you know where to post and what to post and such...there is already an entire video game section and several threads discussing how to beat/unlock different things in the game...
