Need Sidedeck Choices for my OTK Magic Explosion Deck
Currently, Im running a OTK deck based around utilizing numerous draw cards along with Reasoning/Monster Gate to dump the majority of my deck into the graveyard and recycling with DMoC and Feather of the Phoenixs.
Afterwards, I use Magical Explosions and Blasting the Ruins to kill my opponent (generally, I need 2 Explosions or one of each, but Feather of the Phoenix can recycle a discarded/used Explosion)
A few stall cards (SoRL, Scapegoat, Level Limit, Cylinder) are also present in case I can't get to the combo the first turn
Anyways, the deck has been working pretty reliably, since Mallets/Reloads/Dragged Downs can work around a bad hand and get to the cards I need. Dragged Downs also can work to preempt opposing Heavy Storms/Mobius
However, I need help with the side deck to counter the inevitable Dust Tornado/Royal Decree/Hallowed Life Barriers/Mobius that will get sided in 2nd round. Also, I may need some monster ideas since keeping all the same monsters is risky for Reasoning.
I've been experimenting with keeping Giant Trunades (to wipe away opposing Tornados/Decrees/Hallowed before setting my Explosions/Ruins, and it works nicely with Premature/Swords) but I have trouble drawing into them AND the Reasonings/Gates + Burners I need at the same time.
I've also considered Airknights since they'd probably side out all ur defense traps (Sakuretsu,etc) but they're really dead draws and force me to add Snatch Steal/Brain Control for tribute for the Gates/Airknights (Since Soul Exchange would clash with Airknights attacking).
Blowback, while able to deal with most monster and trap threats(most people, when they see I'm targeting their facedown Hallowed/Tornado with Blowback, will activate it rather than risking losing it since they can't chain AFTER i flip), is kinda unreliably and face the same tribute probs as Airknight
Finally, I found this monster called A-Team Trap Disposal which basically lets me tribute it to negate an enemy trap during either turn. Its effect is really useful and I can get it reliably (I normally see most of my monsters during a duel due to Reasoning/Gates and it's Lv2, a REALLY unlikely level to be called). The problem is that it doesnt give me more resources to work with when summoned and its weak (300/400) so it won't help if I don't get my combo that turn as its gonna die.
I also need an answer for Jinzo and Des Wombats
So if anyones read down this far, got any ideas? :classic:
Another OTK would probably be the idea to go on...most Explosion Decks I see tend to use either Magical Merchant + plenty of monsters or Reasoning + plenty of m/t to dump (Merchant usually works better though)
Mass Driver OTK would face the same probs with the Spell/Trap removal and Burn stoppers they'd side in =/
Inuyas - What OTK would u suggest? Most I can think of would still have trouble with the Dust Tornados/Hallowed Life Barriers/ Royal Decrees people keep in their sidedeck. Plus, Merchant wouldnt work since Explosion only counts Spells in the grave, not monsters
Cyber Stein is usually seen the most...though with your meta actually using Hallowed Life Barrier and such...it wouldn't hurt to pack some sort of negator like your own Royal Decree or something...Cyber Stein doesn't really rely on any Continuous m/t cards either...
