Let's say that your opponent has only 1000 life points left and you have a 1800 atk monster in your hand, but they have a Jinzo on the field. You can use Mind Control to take the monster, and then attack directly for game.

But then what about this... You play Brain Control and attack them with their own monster... also after you attack just tribute it so they dont get it back (or tribute before battle phase...)
I still dont see any use for Mind Control, you cant attack, tribute, or anything
On the other hand Mind Control would be great if it were a quick play...
For example;
You opponent has had a Treeborn Frog out for a turn and they go to tribute it, you could stall them by stealing the monster so they cant tribute that turn... but that'd only work if the card was reprited to a quick play.
You know who can use the effects of your opponents monsters like flip effects and certain other effects that have nothing to do with battle. Plus there are cards were you dont tribute but destroy the monster like cards

Actually, you're incorrect, the turn player is able to tribute the Treeborn Frog before you can activate anything. It's like you can't activate you're set Call of the Haunted before they're able to tribute for Jinzo. The turn player has priority to make the first link in the chain. Though, if Mind Control were a Quick Play, it could prevent attacks like Enemy Controller and be used offensively as well.
i have also had a mind control for some time and it took me quite a while to figure any real strategies out. here's a couple that i've come up with:
it kills face-up reapers
it can free up your opponents side for an attack
example: you have got a mobius on the field and mind control in the hand, your opponent has nothing but a lone monster on the field with no back row of m/t to stop you. you can now play mind control and get the duel over with instead of having to attack a face down...prabably a reaper, mof, dekoichi, or some other card that would prolong the game.
personally it doesn't grant enough advantage to the user...so for now i'll still use:
snatch
enemy controller
brain control

True, but Jinzo coming to the field doesn't "start" any chain.
And to add to Mind Control, think about this. What cards snatch face-downs monsters? Change of Heart (banned). Enemy Controller (no). Snatch Steal (Equip). Brain Control (no). Jowls of Dark Demise (do you play that card?).
There, that automatically makes Mind Control a decent card. And do you hate seeing Chaos Sorcerer in the morning? Mind Control it and remove it from play. But I also like the Destruction Ring combo, since it's getting destroyed and not tributed.

Personally, I think Mind Control + Generation Shift is a very good combo. Oops, did i just mind control your F/d faith? Let me a get a spell back, and get a faith from my deck to do it again. Hope you don't mind? I just stole your chaos sorcerer? Let me remove something of yours and i iwl luse Generation and get one for myself, if you don't mind. Breaker? Mobius? Dekoichi? Thank you, you are too kind.
"Oh, did I just Mind Control your f/d Magician of Faith? Well, let me just get a spell and you can have it back with my Creature Swap, then tribute that monster for my Zaborg.
Got back a spell and and an open field on the opponent's side.
A.) Destruction Ring
B.) Assault on GHQ
C.) Generation Shift
D.) Altar for Tribute (it "sends", not "Tributes")
E.) Gift of the Martyr ("sends", not "Tributes")
F.) FLIP: Effects
G.) Open path for direct attacking
H.) Creature Swap
I.) Manticore of Darkness (possibly, "sends" not "Tributes")
J.) Level Up! (possibly, "sends" not "Tributes")
K.) United We Stand increasing
L.) Reaper killing
Mind Control may not be splashable or super-broken or anything, but it definitely has uses. ^^
I've seen it used in a cannon soldier/catapult turtle deck as well. It has it's uses, but it's one of those cards we got better versions of. I do feel, however, the Mind Control is Change of Heart's direct relative.
Won't work that well in that deck since the monster can't attack or be Tributed at all...unless you took control of the Cannon Soldier/Turtle itself and Tributed other monsters
