I used to be a mod on a now-defunct YGO site called "The Realm of the Dragons." This was a combo I posted there. It's probably been used a lot in the GBA games, but it works wonders in real life duels as well. Here is the posted combo, in all its original brilliance!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know by now that you have heard of the continuous trap card, Magical Thorn. If you haven't, it deals out 500 LP to your opponent for every card they discard from their hand to the graveyard. Last time, I revealed the ingeniousness and evilness of using it with card destruction. Well, here is another combo: using the previous combo with Solemn Wishes (another cont. trap) and Fire Princess (an effect monster)
Solemn Wishes [TRAP/CONTINUOUS]
Gain 500 LP every time you draw a card.
Fire Princess [FIRE]
****
[Pyro/Effect]
As long as this card remains face-up on the field, deal 500 LP of damage to your opponent's LP every time your LP increase.
ATK/1300 DEF/1200
First, play your two EEEVIL trap cards (here, I was referring to Solemn Wishes and Magical Thorn) face down, and summon Fire Princess in attack mode (since it has low ATK, you might want to equip it with a power-up like Black Pendant or Axe of Despair ). Then, when your opponent summons or sets a monster or a spell/trap, chain activate both Magic Thorn and Solemn Wishes. On your turn, use either Card Destruction or Morphing Jar to force both you and your opponent to discard your entire hands. They will get damage from that, and more when you draw your new hand. How? The two new cards I mentioned will do it! For very card you draw, you wil gain 500 LP by Solemn Wishes' effect. And every time SW does that, Fire Princess will subtract even more LP from your victimd!

As you can see, I was pretty much into so-called "EEEvil" combos (of which I was a master back at the Realm of the Dragons); that is to say, I was into combos that hit fast, hit hard, and would nearly always leave your opponent sweating. Feel free to comment on this combo--I'm sure it will help people out.
When you play Card D with Solemn Wishes on the field, you only gain 500, therefore, they only lose 500 for Fire Princess. They'll take 500 per card for Magical Thorn, but at this point, you'd have at most 3 cards in hand.
Also, you overextended terribly for a first turn move. If you opponent plays Heavy Storm or any monster, you might as well scoop.
Lastly, how did you get all these cards in your hand?
I was refering to the fact of its a beginners combo not one an experinced player would use but its not bad for a duelist of his level. It would be like Using Convulsion of Nature and Archfiends Oath its not bad for him to develop those thoughts.
As I said, this was back in the day, when I was starting out. I wouldn't use it now, but I used to run a Magical Thorn deck. I am currently running a heavily modified version of the new rock structure deck, with fewer spells/traps and more effect monsters (I rely a lot on my effect monsters. Good thing no one I know uses Skill drain, even though I have cards to deal with it just in case).
