In the Indy rule book, it states that "a character attacking blocking terrain hits automatically" (page 15) but in the FAQ's for HYPERSONIC SPEED it says "...may destroy a wall section if they roll three consecutive non-critical misses against the wall section." Which is it, do I roll, or do I not roll? Why would a critical miss matter with HYPER, but not with any other attacks? Have I missed another FAQ somewhere? Someone help me please...
Simple, you follow the rules for HSS which will require you to roll 3 consecutive non-critcal misses. Any character making any other attack & capable of doing 3 damage doesn't have to roll. WK seems to have decided that to use option 2 of HSS to destroy a wall requires you to roll 3 non-critical misses to make 3 damage to the piece of wall you want to wreck.
In other words, it takes 3 damage to destroy a wall. If a character does 3 damage, then there is no problem.
However, if a HSS character has less than 3 damage, but wan'ts to destroy a wall, he has to use HSS (option 2). A crit miss ends the HSS attack, so he can't do the 3 damage required.
A stealhed target is hiding in the bushes. Can my character with a 3 damage in ranged attactk target the bush, destroy it (rubble counter) and now the stealthed character is no longer stealthed?
Same question if the target is using an object token (say a forklift) for cover.
Hindering terrain that is part of the map can't be destroyed. And even if it were, it would just leave hindering terrain as when terrain is destroyed by attacking it it leaves hindering terrain.
So you can attack the forklift but it will leave permanent hindering terrain.
